My body confuses me. How should I go about my weight loss?
I'm 5'6" and am somewhere between 140-150 pounds (it changes daily). I don't look chunky though, my body stores the weight very evenly. I have an hourglass shape with a size 5/7 for pants and am a 32D for bra size. I can never find the motivation to exercise unless Im going to a dance class or some sort of weekly class (which is expensive so I cant join in them very often). The main spots I would really like to loose weight in would be my arms and my thighs, and maybe tighten my stomach a bit, but I don't know if I should try and loose the weight through dieting or exercising.
Im dont eat too much even though I could improve my diet a bit, and I just cant seem to stay focused on exercising when I'm home.
How should I go about loosing weight and/or toning up?
unfortunately spot reduction isn't possible so maybe you shouldn't focus on weight loss but lifting weights to build muscle in those areas which would firm it up and look more defined.
I would definately include weight training in your fat loss program. As mentioned above you cannot spot reduce but without weight training you will never be able to tighten those areas. Also check out www.turbulencetraining.com. These are programs that are designed for people who workout at home. The initial cost maybe high but Craig Ballantyne truly does over deliver. I think I spent $77.00 and have received over 102 weeks worth of workouts.
