Mine is 15.6%, and I'm really depressed because even if I lose ALL my body fat, I still won't reach my goal weight.
What's yours?
20.1%.
Sickening number. LoL.
For those who don't know how to calculate their body fat percentage, I got my numbers from Shape.com. But I Googled a body fat calculator, found one at http://www.linear-software.com/online.html and used the tape measurement method. There it says my body fat percentage is 19.7%. I guess that's a little better. LoL.
Im 15, 5 foot 5/6 and 125 pound, proud of it with 21-ish body fat %

I'm 23, 5'4", ~141 lbs, and the last time I used one of those body fat analyzer dealie-bobbers (about 1.5 weeks ago) my body fat was 23.5% (i think). The analyzer was in my university's gym and it had a chart next to it of the scale of body fat % health based on age range and gender. I am in the good column. According to the chart, if I reach 22% I will be very good.
I'm 15 (almost 16), 5'4" and 107 pounds. My body fat percentage is 15%.
I also used the tape measurement method on the link simmyy posted. I am 25.9%, within the Acceptable range. I work out, though, so I'd prefer to be in the Fitness range, lol.
Um ok I really do not think the tape measure method is accurate at all! Cuz I just did it and it said my body fat was 6.54% . Haha I'm 5'3 106 pounds , so it's definitely not true
It's more likely that you entered in the wrong data as it's easy to do on that site. First, make sure you find the area with the proper gender (male is near the top of the page, female is near the bottom of the page). After typing in your age and weight, make sure you choose pounds/kilograms and inches/centimeters depending on which you are using to measure yourself. Finally, for tape measurement, give your height, neck (circumference, not vertical length), waist, and hip measurements (whether in inches or centimeters depending on the option you chose).
Here is what my results look like:
Yeah I entered all the correct info and clicked pounds and inches...I just don't see how measurements could indicate body fat percent...makes no sense
I'm 18, 6' 1", and 167 pounds and my measurements put me at 12% BF. I'm happy my hard work has paid off and that puts me in the athlete range but I would like to get it down a little further to around 8%. These can only be so accurate of course and on some people who do not have an average body type or more or less muscle in certain areas than average will get skewed results.
I recently bought the Omron fat monitor. It's pretty accurate in my opinion. Maybe you should give it a try, although I am not advertising. It's scientific and I understand how it works (BIA) so I trust it. Anyway, don't be so hung up on the numbers. If you feel healthy and engage in regular physical activity and have a balanced meal plan, your body weight is not important. If you engage in such healthy habits/behaviors, then your body fat should not be high for it should naturally decrease as a side effect of your lifestyle.
As far as accuracy goes the online calculators that use measurements are almost always within a 4-5% range of being correct either way. The BIA method is slightly more accurate, usually within a 3% range of being correct. The only sure fire method is getting it done with calipers by a doctor or at a gym, that almost always costs money though.
