Hey,
Yesterday I got body fortress advanced whey protein powder.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Is it okay for women???
2. It has creatine and is it bad for weight loss??
3. Is taking one scoop enough in a day??
please help!!I haven;t opened the tub if the reviews are not good I might go to wal-mart and return it tonight.
Thanks,
I dont see why it would make a differnce between man or woman, creatine just helps your mucles retain water to help the healing of the muslce...all protien stuff does is boots the amount of protei in your body... shouldnt hurt anything so id say its of
What is the outcome you seek by using this product?
I use a product called Endurox to aid in recovery after very strenuous and long workouts (at least 90 minutes). It is very high in calories but helps repair muscle and improve the quality of my longer workouts. If I wasn't working out so much I would not use a product like this, it's not worth the calories and I get plenty of protein from my regular diet.
If your objective is to add protein to your diet, you might want to consider just eating more lean meats or other foods with protein. It's generally not difficult to get what you need. If your objective is to speed muscle recovery or improve endurance, maybe this is a good product. I don't know much about creatine.
Some food for thought for you. Good luck.
I've tried Body Fortress before, and I think it tastes TERRIBLE. My brother bought a big tub of it and he could barely get it down so he let me at it...I couldn't do it either. But the other thing I would check is the quality. I don't have a tub handy so I can't check the ingredients but look to see what the first ingredient on the list is. If it says something to the effect of "proprietary protein complex" I would shy away...that essentially means that there is a very small amount of the advertised protein type in the mix, combined with some other cheaper proteins. By calling it a protein complex they can put the ingredient of interest at the top of the list, while normally it would be close to the bottom.
I am not sure what kind you had, but my friend and I bought a tub of the vanilla and mixed with fat free milk it is excellent. As for the calorie thing talked about in the other post, it only is 110 calories per scoop, so it is not that much at all considering what you get in it... which reminds me here are the ingrediants:
Whey Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate), Super Recovery Blend (Creatine Monohydrate, Taurine, L-Glutamine, Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine), Natural and Artificial Flavors, Soy Lecithin, Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose. Contains Milk and Soy Ingredients.
I use it after weightlifting and I have seen many great advances in regards to helping my muscles to recover better and overall I feel a lot more energized for my 60 minute walk/jog after.
