Hi all,
so, I've never been a person who needs a lot of sleep anyhow (6 hours is pretty standard for me), but this morning I woke up on my own at 5am (having only fallen asleep at 1am) and I woke up starving!
It was almost interesting to have happen, because I literally woke up, walked to the kitchen and made oatmeal and (don't ask me why) but vegetables sauteed in broth for breakfast. I don't even want to go near the binge discussion, because it's not relevant here (and frankly, I'm getting tired of the topic), but what was so interesting was that I literally felt afterwards that my body was truly a system that would find every way possible to get what it needed, when it needed it. I've read that when it comes down to a divide between will power and the sub conscious, the sub conscious will always win.
I'm way off topic here, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen? It's not that I mind, I mean it's only 7am and I've had 500 calories, but that's fine. I just find it fascinating. We talk a lot on these forums about emotional eating, boredom, etc. but we rarely hear much about these kinds of things.
so... it's 6 hours since I woke up and ate... and I'm not hungry. I have to work tonight until 10. I'm so confused by this...
Honestly, Its probably the best time to eat all day maybe even beats post- workout.
And I feel that way most of the time at my meals when I am by myself and its quiet, I don't know why good question.
P.S. I agree with you on the binge eating topic getiin old pretty quick considering most of the topics discussed now some how come to it.
Well, I'm tired and I've gone over cals by about 150, but I did drag my butt to Yoga. I really hope I catch up on some sleep tonight!
It's probably not true, but you might want to get your sugars checked to make sure you're not hypoglycemic. I'm borderline hypo, and this has happened to me a few times. It could also just mean you're not getting enough of whatever you're craving. If you've been getting more exercise than usual, your body could just be trying to get more fuel for what it anticipates it will need (or didn't get the day before). Who knows.

I don't know either; but I'd venture to say that chicanamama is right. When you exercise vigorously, you need to increase your caloric intake by a couple hundred, at least. You probably just didn't get enough calories the day before!
Can I lose weight by walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes twice a day?
You will lose weight if your calorie intake is less than your calorie output. By walking on the treadmill for 40 minutes, you (personally... Read more
