Does your body know when to stop?
Personally, I DO believe that our body sort of have set weights that it is comfortable being, and it is hard to shift them from those amounts. When I started, I was 5'2 and 150 pounds. My body liked being 150 pounds. Freshman year of college, I didn't drink very often but I ate pretty poorly and never exercised, and yet I probably only went up to 154 or 155 by the end of the year, and those pounds immediately fell off with no extra work once I came home for the summer and I was back at 150.
When I started exercising, it was hard to get my body going. Once it got past about 145, it fell pretty quickly to 135, which seems to be its second 'happy place' to be, since I've been sitting there since Christmas despite the fact that I've still been working hard.
132 at 5'7 is a very healthy weight. You probably don't have to actively try to lose more weight, and I agree that you may not be eating ENOUGH. I try and eat between 1600-1800 a day, burning 400 at the gym 5-6 times a week. So 1600 is definitely not too much and may not be enough.
