Body has made the maintenance switch, now...how to get brain on board with the new program!
My weight now seems to be stabilizing. I guess I've reached my body's happy weight (have had the same weight for 3 weeks now, a first in 2 years).
I'm still a pound or 2 away from the original goal but I can be satisfied with where I am.
The thing is, my brain still thinks it's in "weight loss mode" (even though I've been terrible at it- it took me 2 years to lose 7 pounds). Maybe that's alright though...my version of trying to have a deficit actually means I really hit maintenance cals. If my brain switched to actually thinking about aiming for maintenance, I'll probably end up eating an extra 500 cals over maintenance.
Anybody else have (or have had) troubles making the mental switch?
