My body won't listen to me!

Why am I loosing weight when I eat heaps and no exercise but gain weight when I eat healthy and exercise?

Last week at 108 pounds, I ate just enough calories but exercised 2-3 hours daily, and I was just maintaining the weight, then when I accidentally ate just a little more one night i gained 2 pounds! Then I gave up this entire week - I ate twice as much and spent all my waking hours sitting down and I'm 106.5 now.

Thanks in advance for the answers :)

2 pounds is to small a variation. That's not fat, probably just water and intestinal content. Always weigh yourself in the morning right after you wake up, before eating or drinking anything.

Agreed. You should look at long-term changes instead of small fluctuations. The human body can gain 4lbs of liquid/food/waste.

Maybe because you don't need to lose weight since you  only 106 pounds.   Your body is fighting starvation and hanging onto every molecule to save itself from malnutrition and starvation.

I agree that you are paying way too much attention to minor fluctuations in your weight.  You'd be better off not dieting, in my opinion.

also, sometimes for me it takes a week or two at least to see the actual weight loss (if you are doing it right, it shouldn't happen overnight). Don't be surprised if you're back at 108 next week from the results of this week (not to be negative!)

SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?   Most of us out here would love to have that problem.  You could always have your doctor, or a nutritionist explain it for you.
