does BODY WRAP really take off INCHES???
You can have once a month and lose the same water each time -- all body wraps do is make you sweat, so all you lose is water which you will regain the first time you eat/drink something.
There is no quick fix -- loss of inches requires a decrease in calories and an increase in exercise -- or an increase in weight lifting and a relook at number/type of calories being eaten
Not worth it unless you have to go to some government ball and HAVE to look your absolute best.
You lose inches overtime and as long as you continue to eat and exercise well it does stay off. And you do not get dehydrated providing that you are well hydrated before the session, drink water throughout it and plenty after it- the more water the better.
You probably will not notice the results from doing the wraps monthly- it is recommended that you do six sessions to get the full results 2 days to a week apart.
Let me know if you go ahead and do it and how it works for you? The treatment is sooooooo hot but I personally love them!
Nope. You're wrong. It's the dieting and exercise. All the wraps do it pull water and other much needed body enzymes out, then you make more.
Very expensive way to sweat.

I have formostar body wraps weekly. I have been doing them for over a year and have to say that when doing them with a controlled diet and regular exercise they work insanely well. The difference is unbelievable- particularly when compared to just exercising and dieting. But, if you aren't going to follow a healthy diet there is little point- especially if you are going to be eating a lot of carbs- I noticed little to no change when relying on formostar alone.

Mr. Tredaeu I presume? J/K but ya... what others said. With the amount of overweight people in this country if something worked then it would be incredibly popular and everyone would be skinny and it would be on the news 24/7. Sorry. good work on your exercise and dieting working though.
yea Im doing my diet and working my way in to exercise, I was wondering if going to get a body wrap once a month could help tighten or firm ur skin not just the water loss but if it could firm ur skin at all? make sense?
tasha k
has anyone else actually given them a go? before saying that they straight out don't work... did they not show any results for you?
if that was the case i would honestly be surprised- they have had such a significant impact on my shape- so much more than exercise and diet alone- and i know this for a fact because i have been changing combinations of exercise/diet/wraps for over 12 months now and have noticed the differences..
I have had several. The main thing that they help to accomplish is cleansing your body. If you have a lot of excess water weight it will help with that to. The one that I did also burns up to 1200 calories so it is as good as having a extreme workout. So, you would have to do them pretty regularly to have actual inches taken off. I do them every once in a while so I haven't noticed weight loss or inches for sure. You do feel good afterwards though.
In properly designed and controlled studies, body wraps are roughly the equivalent of taking a sauna while covered in olive oil.
A nice way to cook potatoes, not so very good for weight loss in humans.
Though if you feel a mental boost from doing them, hey, knock yourself out - taking care of yourself and doing something you feel good about is very good stress management.
Since the stress hormone cortisol promotes fat storage and hinders muscle growth, doing something that destresses you is probably a good idea regardless of what it is. So if wraps do that for you, hey, it's all good.
It's not the wraps in and of themselves though, it's the effect of relaxing properly :)
perfectlitte - How can being wrapped up and lying on a table or whatever burn 1200 calories? That defies the very physics of how the body operates and sounds like an unsubstantiated claim. I would love to be able to review the science behind how THAT works.
tasha - On the skin, anything that only applies to the top layer of skin is temporary. Same with cellulite creams and stuff like that. You may get a few hours, at best a day or two, out of it.
loulou - how would you be able to know that your efforts WITH the wraps had more effect than diet and exercise alone, if you weren't DOING diet and exercise alone?
they do sound great for stress management ... I personally LOVE a deep tissue massage, but I know the only way massage will help me lose weight is mentally - destressing helps me keep my head on straight and stay on course.
Well, I read the info on it a long time ago......Basically what happens is it goes deep in to your thermal fat....the heat does speed up your heart rate (for some reason last time I thought my heart was going to pump itself out of my chest!) and it pretty much begins "burning" your extra calories.... and because of that it also helps to cleanse you body of toxins too. I'm going to get one tomorrow and I can get the "correct" information on it for you.
Last saturday when I had one I felt like I had lost 10 lbs afterward. I didn't but it is nice to feel like it. ![]()
