We're going to the Bonefish Grill tomorrow night for a friend's birthday.  I hear the food is amazing, but I've never been there.  Anybody have suggestions as to what to order?  I know alcohol will be involved as well, probably quite a bit of it with this crowd.  Any help would be appreciated because I'm using it as a cheat day but don't want to overdo it that much since I've just recently seemed to have broken through a plateau.

I believe their menu is on line.  They have a lot of healthy choices and they will prepare anything on the menu at your request.

My favorite is the mussels josephine.  I can eat those for a whole meal. Also, it you like fish they do a great job!

Watch out because they serve hot bread and olive oil for an appetizer at your table and it is wonderful.  I have to stop myself after a bite or two.

Lets See What Looks Safe on This Menu:

- Any of the grilled fish with the Chimichurri Sauce (Let me just mention that Chilean Sea Bass is DEVINE & probably my favorite seafood of all time other than salmon!)

- Chicken Marsala - just be sure the marsala wine sauce is made with olive oil & NOT butter (but if it's made with butter, SKIP it)

- Mussels Josephine look pretty good, once again, make sure it's made with olive oil, not butter!

- Ahi Tuna Sashimi

- Saucy Shrimp - omit the cheese & ask how it's prepared (just remember, no butter! LOL - I am a broken record for sure!)

- Grilled Salmon & Asparagus Salad - with the sauce/dressing on the side & no cheese, croutons, or goat cheese

- Chilled Asparagus

- Bone Fish House Salad with the dressing on the side & no croutons or cheese & light or no pine nuts

**I am sure jealous, this place sounds delicious! There are so many healthy choices to choose from! The problem is WHAT looks best! ha ha!

Umm the proper Marsala sauce is made with heavy cream and not butter or olive oil. Now the stuff gets autayed in butter, if that is what you meant. Either way crap load of calories. Delicous thought. :)

Hello,

The Mussels Josephine may be good, but it has 697 calories a serving (2 servings per order).  That is over 1200 calories for the entree alone, and if you're going out for a birthday there are usually apps, drinks, and maybe even dessert!

I came across the following links that may be helpful...it seems like others have ahd the same question!

Good luck!  have fun!!

Just have fish (make sure you tell them easy on the oil if they prepare it with oil) on top of a salad with water and a lemon as you beverage. Good luck =)
