BOOB Question ! - For the girls, and the knowledgable boys

Quote  |  Reply
I've been up and down with my weight a lot for the past year. Ever since I started losing, my left boob was getting slightly smaller than my right, though they were both shrinking. NOW, I had lost a lot of weight and I've gained it all back plus more, and my boobs are more uneven than EVER.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do about it? I'm 14 years old, surgery is not an option. AND, if ever I were to get a boyfriend later and be in the situation where he saw my boobs, I wouldn't want him to be like "Oh, disgusting, you're lopsided." D:

To be totally honest with you, no woman has completely equal boobs.  Seriously, guys don't really care, they are just happy to see them. I was looking at mine in the mirror and made a comment that one looked smaller than the other, and my fiance said "oh yeah, i noticed that awhile ago"... he had never said anything before, and has not mentioned it since. No one's body is completely symetrical... its no big deal. Plus... you are 14 and will still be growing for a while, they will likely even out a bit...

Hope this helps.

coming as a Dad with daughters.... scratch that I Dad that actually talks to his daughters, wife and low and behold, female friends... that actually really common to just about every girl I know... it's probably more noticeable to you than it is to anyone else.... and while I shudder to think of that phase as they start getting serious boyfriends too, I can look at a guys perspective in that situation as we get older, were just happy to be there... any guy that would actually act like you mentioned above... isn't worth stressing about.

Stay focused on your goals and my God... your young... don't sweat the small stuff.

It's pretty typical......almost everyone I know has one that is larger then the other.
Quick replies, thanks! :)

I don't know. I know you'll disagree and say that I notice it more than anyone else, if they even realize it. But in addition to my uneven boobs, they sag. And my right sags probably an inch or more lower than my left. =/ It seems like a huge difference.

But I guess I will just have to wait it out! Hopefully they will have evened out by the time I'm ready to let them be shown. But it really is a self-esteem issue sometimes when you have one melon and then a freaking cherry. XP
My one breast was significantly larger than my other for a while, but after I had my daughter, they evened out more. It bothered me too, but now that I look back at it, I don't think anyone cared. I never had a boyfriend who even commented on it. My now fiance says that men really don't care... a boob is a boob whether it be big, small, perky, or saggy. I wouldn't worry about it (easier said than done). You are still growing, so they will most likely find where they're supposed to be.
BTW there are inserts where you can buy a bra to fit your larger boob and use the insert to balance you out.  I agree that its uncomman to be completely balanced but if it bothers you, this might make you feel better.
^^ yeah! I've seen/heard of these but I can't remember who makes them.. maybe playtex? I think it's definitely worth it if you're self-conscious.

completely normal.

And I sure hope it's a LONG while before any guy sees them Wink

I know I've got nothing to worry about in that aspect...

At 14 you're still developing so they should eventually catch up and match more although one will always be slightly bigger
Hi! I don't know a single female who desn't have two different size boobs. I notice the difference more when mine are smaller than when they are bigger, so maybe with some people that makes it more noticable. For the most part, no one even notices, and sometimes I will use a bra with an insert on the right side to even things out if my outfit really calls for it.
I've never seen real breasts that were exactly a like. Thats one way to tell fake ones. They look like they should have a factory stamp on them.
oh to be 14 again...

they'll even out somewhat. they probably won't ever be perfectly even. it's normal -- nothing about our bodies is perfect. your two feet aren't exactly the same size, one of your legs is slightly longer, one of your ears is slightly smaller, etc. my left&right breasts are about half a cup size different.

I agree with monkey08us... boys/men/boyfriends don't care. NO guy will ever say to you "oh, that's gross, you're almost 1 cup size different!" because (1) most guys are clueless about what an actual cup size is and (2) most guys are so excited to see breasts they don't even care.

you're still growing. as long as you get the proper nutrition and take care of yourself, they'll probably even out a bit more.
i have fake boobs and one is still bigger than the other. I had never noticed one was bigger until my surgeon pointed it out. One boob has a bigger implant than the other but there is still a slight difference, no ones perfect...even with surgery =)
Actually...I have fake ones and they are still different...so there!  :)  But they were very different sizes when I went in to see the doctor.  They measure you from the inside tip of your collar bone to your nipple to find out if they are even (which even the doctor said, they never are).  I think it's perfectly normal...no one is perfectly symmetrical either their breast, face or anything.

Any yeah...don't worry about the boys...you have a ways to go before you should worry about that!  And a lot of growing to do.  :)

whatisbeautiful- oh hunneybunney i wish i could give you a big hug! i remember at 14 being critical of my boobs and thinking the "sagged!" and everyone is uneven, especially when you're still growing- and you are, i continued to grow into my 20's.

listen, i think alot of these ideas about our boobs come from the images we always see on cosmo or tv or of naked chicks in pictures. these are fake, or airbrushed, or taped into place. natural boobs are not round like oranges set high on the chest. the natural shape is pointy, or low and sloping, or as my friend says, "banana boobs". and as our ladies who have had enhancements have said, even theirs aren't "perfect."

of course, not that this is the most impt thing, but boys will think they are amazing and feel great and that they look mesmerizing, i promise.

maybe a very pretty, fabulous bra with a demi-cut (which is lifting), or with a slighly rigid material that holds it's shape could make you feel better right now.

trust me.. if you were to get a boyfriend in the future, he would not worry about the size/shape of your boobs. They're boobs.. He'll be happy either way Tongue out

My right boob is quite bigger than my left. It's like in the movie superstar.. "this is the mommy boob, and this is the baby boob"  They difference is very noticable to me.. but no one else can tell.. even my ex bfs didn't mention it

I don't have anything new to add.  I agree with everything that has been posted by the others before me.  I'm 29 yrs old and I've had 1 child.  My right boob is quite a bit bigger than my left one and always has been.  No one has ever made any sort of negative remark about their appearance-quite the opposite actually! :)

I wear demi-cut bras with inserts and only put the insert in the left cup.  Not only does it make my boob looknicer in the bra but (obviously) it fills it out better for a better fit.  Incase you're interested you can find bras like these at Lane Bryant.

whatisbeautiful- I'm sure you're beautiful!!  You have nothing to worry about-you're completely "normal".  Good luck to you! :)

not to be redundant.  but coming from a guy, trust me, we dont care if they are different sizes.   We dont even notice.  I remember my girlfriend once pointing this out to me and i had no clue.  really couldnt care less.  It was said best above.... we are just glad to be there!!  :-)

Another male perspective... No boy/man will ever care!!  I have had girlfriends point it out to me and as stated above, most of the time I never noticed.  I won't say don't sweat it, because I know it is hard, but try not to dwell on it.  Now go hangout with your girlfriends and leave those horny boys alone! :)

LOL I'm 16 and always had lopsided boobs...
I notice it a lot but my bf didn't notice it until i pointed it out very clearly!
I wouldn't worry about it personally.
Any guy you end up with is unworthy if he's going to freak out and stop liking you because one boobs bigger then the other anyway.
And if you're only 14 then they might change anyway.
After losing 14 pounds my boobs are both small and much the same size now :)
