I did not know clarence thomas is a nascar fan. Now I know.

Also picked up an atlas put out by the onion called "our dumb world"

It is SO SO FunnY!

Right now its Invisible Monsters

by Chuck Phalaniuk.

Good so far, pretty intense and its about a mutilated model, so what could make me feel better? ^--^

If your looking for a book to read, check out A Dirty Job by Chris Moore.  That is one fantastic book

Maefilly - I LOVE Christopher Moore! Have you read Lamb? Blood Sucking Fiends is probably my favorite, or Island of the Sequined Love Nun.

And Invisible Monsters is the only book I've read by Phalaniuk. Have you read anything else by him?
The new Stephen King novel: Duma Key

I'm a big Stephen King fan and I was pretty happy about this new book. I'm almost done and it's pretty fantastic. Good story if you like Stephen King. Not really like his old work, but still well written and nothing like his recent novels. I'm a fan. haha.

Some of my favorite books have been:

The Secret Life of Bees!  Such a good book, read it twice and saw the movie.

The Poisonwood Bible! another great book.

Water for Elephants! Really great read.

Since January I read all 13 novels by Robin Cook - he has a new one out in August and I'll get that one!

Before those books I read the series  Left Behind

I just started  Lost World because I didn't have anything else in my book case...it's not bad.

Just started His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman (includes the Golden Compass which they just made a movie of).

I LOVE it so far!

Yes it's awesome! The third book is the best. ;D

I'm out of new books to read so I'm rereading The Lord of the Rings.

Oh, I'm reading The Wednesday Letters by Jason F Wright.

cant stop reading james patterson books lately.....

go shopping thursday buy 2 books....finished by sunday....buy two more on thursday for the past couple of weeks.....kinda sick

womens murder club series is class

started alex croos series today

just so easy to read.......

Paulo Coelho's The Pilgrimage. I am not keen on it so far....I liked The Alchemist but this was his first novel so maybe he was just getting warmed up. I have to finish it for my book club though.

Also reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series, currently on the fourth book. It's quite engaging. My boyfriend really wanted me to read it because we are both SK fans but the Dark Tower series was his favorite and I'd never read it. He kept insisting that it gets better as you go along, and it does.

I'm finally getting around to reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. My dad loaned it to me about 6 months ago and I finally opened it up last weekend. I haven't had a real lot of time for it though, I'm only about half-way through.

I LOVE Coelho! Please, please, please read his novel Veronika Decides to Die. It is gorgeous.

Right now I'm reading The Beat Generation. Naturally it's all about Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs and Cassady... it's really, really interesting. Their lives read like a novel, they were so out there.

Nelson Mandela's A Long Walk to Freedom (beautiful, inspiring), Truman Capote's In Cold Blood (the  best 'writer' of all time?), Meg Cabot's The Boy next door (for adults, not teens lol, so hilarious), Piers Morgan's 3 autobiographies (so scanadlous, funny and well written)....theyre my top books.

"The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb; about a teacher whose wife was working as the school nurse at Columbine when the shootings happened.

It has yet to disappoint in spite of my high hopes from Lamb, having authored my favorites, "I Know This Much Is True" and "She's Come Undone."

I enjoy reading anything James Patterson has published.  His bestselling detective series featuring Alex Cross and the Women's Murder Club.  I am now starting the book "Max -  A Maximum Ride Novel" - unfortunately, it looks like the last book of the "novels" since it is listed 5th.

No One You Would Know by Michelle Richmond.

I'm midway through it, and so far its pretty good.
