Check out Nicholas Sparks...soo good. I'm not sure how old you are or what you are really into but the next type of book I got into after the whole Sisterhood series, Gossip Girl, and A List era (which I'm hoping you have read beacause those are really good fun books for teenage girls), I then read the Shopoholic series. Those "trashy" sort of novels I live for. I'm a total bookworm so if you want more suggestions, let me know. I am also into murder mysteries by James Patterson- really easy to read books.

thanks

i cant keep focused to read books for a long time the only books i read are for school

Ha I just realized I already posted on this one =P It's at the bottom now though!
my fav book is flowers in the attic

My two favourite books are 'A thousand splendid suns' and 'the kite-runner' by Khaled Hosseini. The titles may seem a little dull, but , believe me, they are far from that!

Try also 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult. It is a very attention capturing read, give it a try!

If you're into Vamp books. Try "The Anita Blake" series. . . I'm obsessed.YellEmbarassedInnocentYellSurprised!1!

Other good reads are:

A Separate Peace by John Knowles

Smack by Melvin Burgess

A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby

Carrie's Story & Safeword by Molly Weatherfield

By the sounds of the books you like I think you should definately read the Final Friends series by Christopher Pike, the first one is called 'The Party', then 'The Dance', then the last one is 'The Graduation'.

He writes alot of young adult thriller novels. I like most the books you mention and I loved these books, couldnt put them down.   They're like teen/thriller/mystery. great

-Perfect

-Uglies series

-Speak

-Keeping the moon

-Say Goodnight, Gracie

-Define Normal

-Grl2Grl

-Far From Xandu

-Such a pretty girl

-Between mom and jo

and Im currrently reading Rainbow Boys...

I'm a bookworm. =)

the perks of being a wallflower

the orpheus obsession

the great gatsby

catcher in the rye

stargirl

there's alot more but i can't think of them.. every summer i read like 2 new books a week :)

I'm a huge science fiction and fantasy fan too. Try the Young Wizard's series by Diane Duane - hilarious and set in modern day New York.

Also, ANYTHING at all by Diana Wynne Jones.

Earthsea series by Ursula Le Guin as well as all her other stuff.

His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman - my favorites!

anything by Madeleine L'Engle

I can't remember the author, but she wrote a bunch of books about this one girl, and one of them is called "Shrimp."  They're all really good. :]  A my library there is a picture of a girl's legs in a wet suit holding a surfboard, if that helps you find it.  :]

My two favourite books are 'A thousand splendid suns' and 'the kite-runner' by Khaled Hosseini. The titles may seem a little dull, but , believe me, they are far from that!

I agree. Those two books were absolutely amazing. If you saw "The Kite Runner" movie please don't let that discourage you from reading the book. The movie was mediocre at best but the book is amazing.

Some other good ones...
"A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Child Soldier" (this guy was a child soldier in Africa and managed to get out and write a book about it.. it's amazing but very, very graphic... so much so that I almost threw up while reading it)

"Atonement" (is a movie now but the book is better)

The David Sedaris books are fantastic... so are the Augusten Burroughs books... very funny memoirs

BEST BOOK(S) EVER:

The Twilight Series -

1) The Twilight

2) New Moon

3) The Eclipse

Soeme good girly books: gosssip girl, the it girl series, secret lives of fortunate housewivessss...all super good :)
Ted Dekker is an AWESOME writer!  His stories have so many interesting twists and turns that you would NEVER expect!  They are very interesting from beginning to end and I always suggest them for reading!  When I started reading Thr3e I stayed up all night reading it, then slept for 2-3 hours, woke up, and finished it.  I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!  Then I spent weeks straight JUST reading his books...I was obsessed for a bit =P

The best are:
Thr3e
The Circle Trilogy (Black, Red, White)
Blink
Saint

He has been coming out with LOTS of new ones lately and I'm so excited to buy them!  I'll let you know if any make my tops list =D

Nicholas Sparks, Francine Rivers, Mary Higgins Clark... they all have some pretty good books...

Terry Pratchett.

His books are amazingly funny.

I recommend Wee Free Men, especially.
