Bootcamp!? is it worth it?

Quote  |  Reply

Hey guys, i want to lose about 40 lbs. and i know sitting at home is getting me nowhere. i joined an all ladies fitness centre.. but rarely go. ill go for like a week and then give up on it. I guess i dont have enough self discipline, its really hard to get into the routine.

ive been thinking about bootcamp program that is offerered at one of my local parks. Its an hour a day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks, and That way im kinda forced to go, and there is a trainer to tell you exactly what to do, and what you need to work on.

Has anyone tried one of these programs, what are your thoughts on it? i just need some feedback.

i look forward to hearing from you all :)

I teach a few bootcamps throughout the year. You sound like the perfect candidate for one! Very motivating and can be tough [you will likely see a few people puke, especially during the first few sessions] but results are fantastic. They can be a great kickstart to your fitness goals and/or great cross training for athletes.  Participants often bond and form great friendships which continue long after the bootcamp is over. You will learn a great deal and be held accountable for your physical health/goals. You will amaze yourself at how far you can push yourself and what you can achieve.  You will also be amazed at all the pounds you will lose and the strength you will gain.

Have fun!

If you want to get in the best shape ever join the military and do REAL boot camp. You do nothing but run , march and work out. It is hard but the results are unreal. The only bad thing about it was I realized "I am in the army I could be getting shot at"

I do a bootcamp type work out twice a week and to be honest with you it's the only thing I see results from :) Have fun! And good luck!
