It showed a woman wearing awesome boots - over the knee. Not that I would personally wear such a thing, but I have found boots incredibly difficult to wear & purchase.
First off, I'm a size 10 or 11 thanks to having 2 pregnancies that resulted in very big healthy boys. I was a size 9, but each pregnancy made my feet bigger...
Last Fall, when I went out boot shopping, I weighed probably 210. At this moment, I'm hovering around 170. I am wondering if hopefully hopefully my calves shrank in addition to the rest of me.
Have any of you lost a lot of weight then suddenly found that women's boots fit you around the calf whereas before they didn't?
I hope so!!
I always have to get boots at DSW or Payless - because they sell the stretchy fake-leather that I can barely zip up.
Hopefully this next fall a whole world of boots will open up to me. I would LOVE that!! I think my husband would too....
My mom who lost a lot of weight with gastric bypass even found she needed smaller shoes overall because she "lost" fat on her feet too.
Thank you for the reply!!
I've never heard of losing a shoe size when you lose weight but I suppose if you really have a lot of weight to lose, and some of it is being stored there, that would go away too...
I lost 40 lbs between January & now. (Hurray!)
And the boots zipped right up! No issues! I used to have to leave the top 1 1/2 inches or so un-zipped. WOW! I am so so so so happy!!! I can wear boots again!!!
I hear ya. I gained a lot of weight over the last few years - I was up to the low 170s at my highest. I had not tried on my knee high boots in a few years. A couple months ago, I couldn't zip them up. Just this week after dropping down into the 140s over the summer thru walking, jogging, and paying closer attention to my food choices - I can finally fit into my boots again!
