Getting bored of my salad...

Quote  |  Reply
When I first started dieting, I made a simple salad of green beans, tomatoe, carrots and avocado, with chicken, tuna, salmon or whatever.

The problem is, I'm not at home all day, and for the last 2 months, my maid has been doing the SAME salad everyday xD As you can guess, I'm getting kinda bored....and certain binging impulses are starting to get hard to control.

Any easy low cal sandwiches/salads ideas?

Lately I've been eating a tomato basil tortilla (La Tortilla Factory brand) with 3 oz of chicken with grilled bell pepper zucchini and onions with 1/2 tsb of light mayo and 1/2 tsb of horseradish sauce.  It's really good not sure how many calaries but it's only 4 WW points.

I love red leaf lettuce with chicken (or whatever), and mushrooms, pine nuts, peppers, topped with lime juice and olive oil. Sometimes, I'll ad more "stuff", if it's in the refrigerator and make it my big meal.

Not sure where you live, but where I am, tomatoes are wonderfully fresh, and abundant. A tomatoe and cheese sandwich (any kind of cheese, any time of bread, in moderation), satisfies nicely.

I suggest giving your maid the day off. How long does it take to prepare you own meal? Seriously. If she can't do it for you and you're sooooo bored. She isn't a mind reader. Tell her what you'd like instead. Or give her a book of healthy meals that she can choose from for you. Barns and Noble go there and pick yourself a healthy book of recipes and hand it to your maid. Then buy the supplies or perhaps give your maid the money to do so for you. Sounds logical.   ( realage.com also has a lot of low calorie meal suggestions. )

Or be your own maid and that will burn some extra calories, allowing you to eat more throughout the day.
What's this about the maid making food? I want one of those. I'd stomp around and flip my hair like Tyra Banks and be like "bitch I'm sick of that damn salad" then throw it at her.

change ingredients, or dressings

I'm fancy to taking a chicken breast, grilling it on my Foreman grill, cutting it in half, using one half to cube, and place over the salad, then carrots, 1/2 head lettuce, snow peas, bamboo shoots, and then putting a little thai peanut sauce in a sauce cup for dipping.

delicious.

I know right, Spirochete. =-P
