I'm in the Boston area, but can't say that I am bored. I so wish I was bored, for about a week would be nice lol

*bump*

i'm in boston (just PMed you sophie, sorry for being slow!)

and i know there are other boston folks on this board! i've been far from bored the past few weeks too. went from sitting home every single night to not having a minute to relax!

Not in the Boston area exaclty, but I do live in MA. About and hour and 20 minutes outside of Boston.

Everyone  I find that lives in MA, lives near Boston. Too bad for me.

Anyone live in melrose?

I'm british but my mum was born there- wud love to know what its like!!

I am from the Boston area! I live in Andover for now but work in JP (Jamaica Plain).

Hey Boston folks, my hubby and I were to Boston twice this past fall for vacation and tried like the dickens to find some good thrift stores but to no avail. Do you know of any??

Hi queenmedia! There is a gigantic and awesome Goodwill on Melnea Cass in Roxbury! You can't miss it, it's off of exit 18 from 93... pass the little mall type thing and you'll see it on the left, they have a huge sign out by the road. Also there is one that I know of near where I work on Centre St. in JP called Boomerangs. Their sales benefit the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.

second time around

they have them all over the place, but i am obsessed with the two on newbury

Is there still Dollar a Pound and the Garment District (it is dollar/lb downstairs and then nicer used things individually priced upstairs)? I remember rummaging through huge heaps of used clothes that were literally in piles on the floor. It was a misnomer though because they had raised the prices, but still a great place. I found some stuff there I still have. I don't remember exactly where it was, but it was near the Braintree T stop.
