if you have a box of cake mix read this

Hello There

I am trying to find how many calories are in a cake recipe I just made. The only thing is I put the cake box out to recycle and now it is gone.

I need to know how many calories are in an entire box of dry cake mix. If anyone could help it sure would be great.

Can you include calories per serving and how many servings are in the box.

It depends on the size of the box, the ingredients you added, and the type of cake. 

In a box of cake mix, there are 2040 calories.

Per serving, 170 calories in the mix, 4 grams of fat, 1.5 of sat. fat, and 1 gram of trans fat.

also, this is devils food cake, 18.5 oz box.

depending on how you prepare the cake you may need to take extra calories into account.

Do you prepare according to package directions with eggs and oil?  because there are an additional 940 calories in 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and 50-ish calories per egg.

If you use applesauce in place of the oil, you are only going to add about 50 for 1/2 cup.
