Boyfriends birthday?
Ok well its my boyfriends birthday at the end of this month and Im wantin to cook him a lovely meal :) hes not vegetarian he likes pretty much anything and definately has a sweet tooth!
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
I'd say grilled or baked chicken, seasoned to your liking, with baked sweet potato, and a rice pilaf. Maybe an angel food cake for dessert, you could add cocoa powder if he likes chocolate.
How about you guys make homemade pizza together? You could make one or two pizza doughs ahead of time, and the two of you could pile up all kinds of different toppings on them.
Or if you'd rather something more serious, you could try Ellie Krieger's pork medallions with cherry sauce. I made it this weekend and it was delicious, and quite elegant. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krie ger/pork-medallions-with-cherry-sauce-recipe/ index.html
And for dessert, there's always the classic strawberries dipped in chocolate.
For my boyfriend's bday I made fajitas, with lots of the veggies. There were a lot of people at that dinner and fajita ingredients went far. Plus it's total man-food, lol.
sounds like my boyfriend! lol
for the homemade pizza thing, you can find various kinds of premade stuff at the grocery store instead of doing it from scratch. And as for dessert, I know my boyfriend loves fresh baked cookies or french silk pie.
I would recommend something special like this:

So EASY, the key is to get GOOD ingredients. Also, when I made it, I made sure to REST the meat out of the fridge before cooking, again when done cooking. Pair that up with some oven roasted potatoes, and some good wine, and you're set.
As for dessert, man, there's just TOOOO many good ones. Just look on epicurious.com or allrecipes.com cause they have reliable review.
