so i recently had the opportunity to go to a Trader Joe's! it was awesome, and they had so many more options than Whole Foods does. ^^
my question is, has anyone tried the Apple Cranberry Bran Muffins they have there? i couldn't find it on the food log so i manually logged it. CC gave them a C+! :/ i know CC can't be 100% reliable when it comes to ratings, and i'm going to eat them anyway so it doesn't matter... hahah! but just curious, what makes them get a lower grade? here's the nutritional info:
1 muffin (57g): 80 cals
total fat: 1.5g (trans, sat=0g)
cholesterol: 0mg
sodium: 180mg
total carb.:22g
dietary fiber: 13g
insol. fiber: 12g
sugars: 2g
protein: 5g
calcium: 2%, iron: 20%
I love those things! I try not to keep them around the house because I will eat all 4 in one day. lol. Try their fiber cakes they are awesome also!

you're referring to the fiber cakes, not the muffins. the fiber cakes are 80 cals, the muffins are around 150 or 220...they come 4 in a pack whereas the fiber cakes come with 6.
they are yummy though...even the muffins.
yes it does come in a pack of 6, but the packaging i have here says "bran muffins" :) but they are way more cake-ish than muffin-ish haha! regardless, they are so good i ate 2....oh noes!
i think CC's grade beef with them is that the ratio of fat or cals to the weight of a serving is to large...that's usually where the grades go down....to much of some nutrient for the weight of the serving
Sometimes it's OK totext in a restaurant.
