Brand Spankin' New--Please Help!
Hello Everyone,
So far I am pleased with everything this web site has to offer! I am 22, about 5'3, and 180lbs. I dont really want to me skinny, just healthy. My goal weight is around 135-140. I dont think I have ever shared that with a whole online community before. I guess I can now, its time to make a change. Im not healthy. here are my problems:
- I hate Veggies!
- I hate exercising!
- I love french fries!
Im the fast food queen, and I havent had any french fries (or anything else from a fast food rest.) in over a week. I have a boyfreind that loves me, but sometimes I wonder if hes attracted to me anymore. Right now he is my motivation, he doesnt want to do anything but help me through this stupid diet and exercise plan im on. Me and my best friend have been running/walking everynight and eating 1200 calories a day. I have a desk job so i get bored easily, theres not a lot going on around here, so snaking is usually my friend. I go to school full time and come strait to work, by the time I get off its dinner time and im starved and shovel in whatever I can get down my throat quickly (Whataburger!) since I havent had a real meal all day!
If anyone has any advice or thinks I should do something else besides 1200 calories a day and run/walking 45 min a night please help me out. I want results quickly or I give up, so no cheating for me. Thank you so much in advance!

Hello and welcome to Calorie Count.
Let me offer one suggestion right away that will help you in your journey.
Do not think of it as a "stupid diet" LOL
It's a journey to better health and fitness.
One other thing - quick results don't last.
For it to be sustained, weight loss needs to be done healthily.
You will see results. Just don't expect them tomorrow!
I understand your hate of veggies and exercise, along with your adoration of fries.
See my profile to learn just how similar we are :)
I have since learned to LOVE exercise to the point I actually received my personal trainer certification!
Don't get me wrong......that's a bit extreme of an example.
However, incorporating something you actually ENJOY into your lifestyle will help you gain an appreciation for exercise.
You said you are walking with your friend. That's exercise! That is a wonderful start.
Check out the forums and once you have had a chance to see, you will realize that you are not alone.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
