brave women in sandals

how many women will wear heeled sandals in the winter on  a frigid winter night?  there braver than me. i get cold just looking at them.

I wear flip flops until there's more than an inch of snow on the ground.

I see women in bare legs and miniskirts in 12 degree weather in the winter. Usually they're the shrieky type.

We don't really have too many frigid winter nights here (TX), but if it's below 50 I break out the boots.  Fortunately I can wear sandals and flip flops 9-10 months out of the year.

When I see anyone wearing sandals, with or without heels, on a frigid winter night, "brave" is not the adjective that comes to mind.

i've on rare occasions worn a pair of strappy heels in the winter, last time it was to my office holiday party, and i was picked up at one door and dropped off at the other, so hardly outside.

but when i see them strutting around the city bar hopping, or even worse the ones who don't wear coats, my mind is boggled.   

I don't find that particularly brave...but where I live, we can go very low in the winter (-40C, anyone?) so I'd be afraid of losing a toe or two if I did that. I have seen ladies in skirts in the winter and I feel badly for them. I like to bundle up in excessive amounts of layers.

I do it on the one occasion a year where I have to wear a dress.  I'd rather lose a toe than cut off circulation to my nether regions because I have to wear pantyhose. 

I wear flip flops pretty much year round. But I live in Dallas. Winter here is almost like summer in upstate NY (where I'm from). Well, that's an exaggeration... but you get the idea.

 Well, it's your choice, of course, but I don't think those are your only options.

Eh. I wear sandals year-round (although never any with heels. I hate heels). If I know I'm going to be outside for more than an hour at a stretch, I'll wear close-toed shoes, but if I'm just going from building to building or to my car, I'm perfectly happy in sandals.

Honestly, if you've got a fetish or something, that's fine, you would probably enjoy the titillating conversation of any one of the chats. But posting threads like this feels a tad bit creepy.

There was a man who called often to a call center I used to work at. He always started out asking how the agent felt about wrestling, then it all went downhill from there. This has that same kind of "ick" feeling.
