Brazillan Waxing
sooo im interested in doing it, for anyone who has ever done it before, based on your OWN pain tolerance, how was it? is it worth it?
I have tattoos and piercing and pain doesnt really bother me, except for that darn lip waxing! lol never get used to it.....
so please share your opinions and stories!!
OUCH!!!!!! So worth it though!!! Do it, you'll love it!!!!! Just be prepared for the pain! LOL
The first time was kinda bad, but you get much less regrowth. After that, it's a breeze. But be warned, it's totally addictive.
i have a fairly low pain threshold, so i damn near cry every time...
my friends told me it gets better after the 3rd time - lies! it still hurts just the same ![]()
but i do still get it done, im have dark hair so im very self conscious down there, getting a braz helps me get comfortable with my bf...
is it awkward, like with the person doing it?? lol idk, what position do u have to stay in ??
not with my beautician... ut we've known each other for years...
mainly lay on ur back with one knee bent sideways... then when they need to reach around the back, u hold ur knee up o ur chest...
the mos painful is right at the front, above ur clit... ouch ouch ouch!!!
I've been contemplating the Brazilian as well, cause I'm really sick of shaving all the time. I've never had anything waxed, so I'm totally scared to do it. Question....I have really sensitive skin and get really bad razor burn from shaving, so do you think that waxing will just irritate the crap out me "down there?" Yikes, haha...
im sooooo curious too.
been wantin to do it forever.
but TERRIFIED.
no, thats an understatement.
aahhhhhhh!
hope more ppl reply so i can decide if i can do it
My person is thoroughly professional, and its so easy to be relaxed about it. She gives me a paper thong to put on, and a wipe. I clean thoroughly (which is a waste of time, cos I never go unless I've just stepped out of the shower anyway...) put on the thong, and lay on my back on the table. She arranges you with one leg bent, and then goes to work. Piece of cake!
hehe...my friends and I went together for our first times.. we were all in separate rooms but we could hear each other screaming and laughing lol.. funniest memory!
The first time hurts alot.. im not gona lie.. but it's only a very quick sharp pain..so goes away very quickly and u forget about the pain.
When you get use to it it's easy.. plus it helps if the beautician is in a good mood! ![]()
I even do my own now!! - see wat a poor student with no money will do!
It hurt, but it was bearable. I lay on my back with my knees a little bent, wearing a paper g-string, and never had to move from that position. The beautician just pulled the g to one side... so there's pretty much no point you wearing it, except that maybe you feel a little less naked. My problem was that I have such sensitive skin down there, it was bumpy and irritated for days. So not hot!
Oooh boy, after reading all the above, I may rethink getting it done. Have always been curious about it but not into pain at all, especially down there. I may have to be heavily medicated to get it done. If I just looked at the end result, it would be no problem....it's the getting there that has me bothered.
I deff tried it myself at home and the results were not good. It wasnt painful but i was also trying it for the first time. I said F. that. Im to modest to get it done some where. I dont have sensitive skin so I will just keep shaving. Not like I have to do it everyday right now. Maybe I will try Nair or something.
I am loving this thread lol, ive been curious about gettin this done for AGESSSS! My only worries are A, the embarassment factor B, the pain issue and C, how do you know if that particular beautician does the full on Brazillian...is it just a case of asking. Because all of the ones I have looked at only advertise Bikini waxing??
I also have never had anything waxed...oooh tell a lie have my eyebrows done but surely that cant really compare? Can it?
lol
Any advice would be brilliant, i do have quite sensitive skin too, shaving can cause an unsightly rash so im thinkin all in all wouldnt it be a lot less hassle and probably a lot less pain free to get it waxed? is it true that you get alot less regrowth too?
the things us women go through eh lol :0)
No way would I ever have this done! I'm way too modest so it just be way too embarrassing and I don't want to go through the pain. Eyebrow waxing is bad enough. I'll just continue to shave.
I did it a couple of times, but it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me because you have to wait for the hair to grown so freaking long before you can get it done. I'd rather just keep it short and save myself a lot of time and money by just shaving and using a roll on disinfectant afterwards to prevent razor burn.
Yes it hurts. It's not really that bad on the outer edges, but when it gets closer to the sensitive areas it can be a little painful. For me it wasn't totally unbearable. It feels pretty good after though.
Like I said before, it's a pain in the bum waiting for it to grow out again. I'd only consider getting it done again if I was going on vacation or if I up and decided I wanted to be a porn star. Which isn't going to happen in this lifetime.
Other than those reasons it doesn't seem really very practical for the day to day. and it starts growning back faster than you'd expect.
The beautician will make you feel comfortable though. That is her job. If you're really modest and you get embarrassed easy don't get it done.
I didn't feel it was worth it. I had to wait a month for it to be long enough, which is just totally "eww" to me I shave at least one a week, and a day or two after I was already noticing regrowth! Maybe if I had held out and done it a few more times I would have seen better results, but I was annoyed to have spent $40 and it only lasted a day.
Ok so I did do it right! I was a little put off when the hair started to regrow really quick. im good ill just shave and/or Nair.
I did it... once. That was 3 years ago.
It really hurt. I'm not gonna lie. The whole thing took about 10 minutes and she did the ripping portion of the wax about 10 times, each one hurting very much. It was weird pain though because it only hurt in the instant she ripped and then it was over. It was unpleasant but she was all "Let's get down to business" about it so I was pretty confident that it wouldn't take long.
After it was over, I was relieved and I thought it looked good. The girl told me I did very well for a waxing virgin.
When she was done, she quickly said "Ok, I'm done now" and she left the room. I was like "Umm... do I get dressed now?" I waited a minute and then I just pulled myself together and went upstairs.
I recommend it only if you don't mind the pain. To me, I have 5 tattoos so I could compare the pain to that. During a tattoo, all I can think about is how much it hurts and I can't believe I'm doing this to myself but the pain goes away immediately afterwards and the results are quite neat. I'm glad I did it because if I hadn't, I would always be wondering. Also, like tattoos, the first one is supposed to be the worst so if I go back, it should be easier. Right now, I'm not planning on doing this again but that's what I said after my first tattoo.
DO IT!don't take advice from people that did once or twice,it is well worth it.i am from Brazil and have been doing it since i was14,it is normal to have it done Early down there, especially if you life by the coast.once i come to America i couldn't find a place to go an have done,so i started to do it myself, and by the end of the semester i was doing all the Brazilian girls plus our American roommates(LOL)and i still do.if you have never done it before, don't go crazy the fist time,do a bikini wax first and then move on to the full wax.later on you will be able to do it yourself if you ever get short on cash,or want to save money.but it is so worth it,it fells clean and soft.and your boyfriend/hubby will love it too.
Totally worth it. 110%.
