Recipe Ingredients for Bread and Butter Pudding

8 slices white bread
6 tsp margarine
75 g sultanas
3 eggs
25 g caster sugar
500 ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Bread and Butter Pudding

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees

  2. Grease a 1.5lt overproof dish

  3. Butter the bread and cut diagonally into triangles

  4. Layer the pieces in the prepared dish

  5. Scatter the sultanas between the layers

  6. Lightly beat the eggs in a jug with the milk, sugar and vanilla

  7. Pour over the bread and allow to soak for 20 mins

  8. Bake in the oven for 35-40 mins until the top is golden and the custard is set

  9. Can be served with cream or custard

  10. Enjoy!
