Maintaining
Moderators: iae

I'm not worried about calorie content, hence the "maintaining" forum...of course, two packets of Carnation instant breakfast mixed in with evaporated milk would be a bad suggestion...so be realistic, please, lol. But basically, I don't eat bread or milk... so for breakfast lately I've been having fruit or granola but that doesn't really fill me up, so anyone else who's lactose intolerant out there, what do you eat for breakfast?

looks like you got a lot of replies already, but heres what i do.

2 egg whites with a piece of toast torn in half to make an egg sandwich, or the actual 2 slices of toast.

also always add either an 80 cal yogurt to go with or a FRUIT is always your best choice :) also w/ one cup of milk.
Oatmeal with a couple scoops of protein powder, splenda, and a sprinkling of ground flax seeds...so you have a complex carb, protein, a healthy fat, and splenda to sweeten it up!  Yummy...

I like to make a potato hash in the mornings because I can leave it cooking on the stove while I take a shower.

Boiling the potatoes ahead of time makes it go faster, but you can cook them sufficiently starting raw.  Chopped green peppers go in with the potatoes or shortly after.  I like my onions on the raw side so I throw that in about 5 - 10 min before I eat.  I usually cook it with fresh dill then season with a pinch of celery salt.  I top it with goat cheese or feta but cooking sausage in works too.

Wow blakthorn that hash sounds pretty intense. Onions in the morning...I don't think I could handle that...lol.

Stefiann, I never thought of putting protein powder in oatmeal. You're right; that covers all the bases: protein, carbs, sugar :) yum.
