Okay, I'm stuck. For the last several days I've been eating a boiled
egg in the morning. I am trying to get my protein in early, but I'm
getting sick of eating eggs. Is there anything else that I could eat
for breakfast (besides peanut butter) that has protein, but is
relatively low cal?

Try to jazz up your eggs a bit - make an omlet out of them (egg beaters are awesome) and put some salsa on it one day - vege's the next etc.  I am sure there is high protein cereals out there too - check out the labels - cottage cheese and yogurt are good sources of protein as well.   Meat!!  If you want protein in earlier why not have chicken for breakfast?  Or tuna!!  My parents were down one time when my daughter was little and I got up in the morning and she was eating chicken noodle soup for breakfast, my Mom said that's what she asked for and if it's nutritious for lunch, why would it be bad for you for breakfast!!??
I usually have an Italian turkey sausage link (baked) w/ 3 scrambled eggs- which I  cook with cooking spay in a  non stick pan. The large turkey link is about 160 cals- and if you add 2 or 3 eggs at 70 cals each- total breakfast cals add up to about 370- for a pretty filling high protein meal.
Yeah, I make omelets with egg whites, a little fresh spinach and some bacon bits. Really good, just under 200 calories. Also, when I get tired of eggs and protein smoothies, I like Kashi GoLean cereal (140 calories for a cup, lots of protein and fiber). At first it kinda tastes like cardboard, but now I actually like it, especially with a banana or some strawberries.
I'm a big cereal fan myself.  Whole Grain Total, Grape Nuts, Honey Bunches of Oats...  They are all around 100cal for a serving size.  They don't have as much protein, but Grape Nuts and Total have good portions of fiber.  However...if you're having cereal, you're most likely having milk, which has protein.

i usually vary between omlettes made with egg beaters / oat meal / protien shakes w/ orange and banana / cream of wheat - I usually have some kind of fruit also:)
I'm a big cereal eater - you can also boost your protein count by using soy milk (the regular stuff tastes a little like dirt, but the vanilla is awesome).
Thanks guys! I ate oatmeal this morning with strawberries and raisins.
It was actually quite tasty. I'm just getting tired of eggs every
morning, so I wanted ideas on how to get some protein in the morning.
Thanks!
saroful, i got some plain soymilk (my fave) because i was thinking it was high protein.  but when i compared it to my skim milk, 1 cup of soy only has 6 g protein vs. 8 g in the skim milk.  that was disappointing.
Quaker makes weight smart instant oatmeal with extra protein and fiber, supposed to keep you fuller longer - I have the cinnamon flavor almost every day, plus helps lower cholesterol (mine went down 7 points!)
How about a one slice of bread....slice or two of turkey and vegies on top! I eat that in Norway....Great way to have a different breakfast and it tastes great too!
Instant Oatmeal.. many Different flavors so you don't get bored.  I used to have two packs because one never seemed like enough.  I have recently cut out the 2nd pouch and I just add more water to make it seem like more.... I realized that I am fine with only 1 pouch, I dont know why I used to think i needed to eat two.... :)
nirv, I think it depends on the soy milk... I love skim milk, not on my cereal though.
if you want to control your calorie intake, why not try mix and matching your own muesli? I purchase my standard muesli mix (oat, bran, wheatgerm) and keep that in a ziploc bag. i soak my muesli overnight and mix my dried and fresh fruits and nuts in the morning. Raisins, almonds, walnuts, dried cranberries, dried papayas and fresh bananas... that way you can control how much and what to put in it. i have it almost twice a week (other times i'd have oatmeal with milk).

I also love nature's path cereal... esp optimum slim and optimum power.. it stays cruchy till the last bit. with a sliced up banana, it's heavenly!
Not Egg protien suggestions for breakfast:

1/4 - 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese w/sliced apples
1/4 - 1/2 cup cottage cheese low or non fat type
turkey sausage with mushrooms onions wrap in pita bread
open face tuna sandwich w/ 1/2 slice of cheese broiled w/ light mayo
thinly sliced salmon on english muffin w/ spread of Ricotta Cheese
To Oatmeal add almonds, or pecans, or walnuts & a little non fat milk
homemade Yougart low in sugar w/fruit
Ricotta Cheese Crepes w/ fruit - berries are good

Ricotta low fat type is best... a mild, semi-sweet, bland flavor cheese, so full of satisfaction & protien, so few calories.......
::::::::: You Gotta love Ricotta!

1 slice Sara Lee Delightful Wheat bread(toasted) = 45 cal
1 slice Kraft Fat free Cheese singles = 25 cal
1 slice Louis Rich Turkey slices(heated/microwaved) = 30 cal
Makes a nice open faced sandwich with a Total of 100 calories and at that Calorie count you can have 2 and a piece of fruit or Juice or Milk and stay under or near 300 cals for breakfast.

I have one of these and a Lite fruit yogurt. For a variety, you can add your egg to the sandwich.
Low fat cottage cheese with fruit, like berries or melon is tasty.

An English Muffin with PB&J is good, too.

I also like turkey bacon or the Gimme Lean Imitation Sausage with some Weight Watchers toasted bagel, sliced tomato and avodado for a yummy low fat low carb high energy start.

AND...being part Italian/Sicilian...I love fried peppers in a small amount of olive oil.
I have been known to eat tuna or chicken for breakfast.  I get sick of eggs.  Sometimes I have Kashi Golean with 13 grams of protein for breakfast, and sometimes I have it for a snack, especially if I'm low on both protein and fiber.

There is nothing wrong with eating non-breakfast foods at breakfast time.

Claire
Wow, so many great ideas! Thanks!
I am NOT on a low carb diet, HOWEVER - the South Beach Diet breakfast bars (the peanut butter or chocolate are YUMMY!) have 10 grams of protein in them, like 6 or 9 g of sugar, and they are 140 calories, I believe 4 or 5 grams of fat. They are really good. (No idea how many carbs are in them...) But they give ya a great source of protein!
I usually have a kellog's breakfast bar for breakfast. (90 calories)
if im feeling especially hungry, then i will make an 2 egg omelette (throw away the yolks), with some green pepper, and 3 strips of turkey bacon. turkey bacon is pretty good...thinks its bout 35 calories for 3 strips...(makes a good snack food too)
