xmas go to the following post...I think it will give you plenty of ideas...

http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/post/105 580.html

Edit:  BTW I generally eat this

  • Steal cut Oats with Cinnamon, raisins, blueberries, and kashi cereal.
  • coffee
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • Double fiber wheat toast with peanut butter and jelly.
  • 3 cups of grapes
  •

  • 9am snack
  • bananna
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • I just found the best omlette recipe! Egg beaters, 2% cheddar cheese, and salsa! mix the salsa in with the egg beaters, about 1 tbsp per 1/2 cup.  I made a double  serving omlette this morning (1 cup egg beaters, 2 slices cheese, and about 2 tbsp salsa) and it was delicious! And only 276 calories! And 36 grams of protein...

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I also do oatmeal, cereal, half of a bagel, etc.

okay so i know this isnt exactly 100-150 cal but i think they are pretty yummy ideas:

Peanut butter cup oatmeal (oatmeal with instant hot chocolate powder and peanut butter mixed in. Topped with sliced banana)

Bannoffe pie oatmeal (oatmeal with toffe hot chocolate powder mixed in topped with sliced banana and perhaps a spoon ful of greek yogurt)

Banana nut crunch oatmeal (oatmeal topped with sliced banana and mixed nuts like almonds, walnuts and braxil nuts

Apple Pie oatmeal (oatmeal with apple added whilst cooking then raisins and/or sultanas mixed in and cinnemon and nutmeg. Could add some chopped nuts for a lil crunch too)

Also stuff like an omlette with various fillings such as: baby spinach, peppers, cheese, salsa, mushrooms with mixed herbs and spring onions etc

Bagels can also be really versitile and can be topped with: cream cheese, peanut butter and banana and honey, almond or cashew nut butter, nuttela or green and black chocolate spread with some strawberries on the side.

Sorry for such a long post but i hope this gave you and other some ideas.

thank you for your replys, they look yummy, but sadly i still havent been able to brngl myself to eat any of them, the most i have managed is a piece of low calorie bread with low calorie jam, it works out at 67 calories, im finding it so hard, the most calories ive been able to bring myself to eat in one day is 800,

    lucy xx

If you're uncomfortable with larger meals there's nothing to stop you having a lot of small snacks initially.   Eating 'little and often' is a good way to get an appetite back.

Follow up your toast and jam an hour later with a home-made fresh fruit & yoghurt smoothie, perhaps?  Or how about a couple of crispbreads with plenty of peanut butter on top?   Think about it in advance, line up high-cal but low-bulk things that you're going to look forward to and then try to work your way through them

There's a thread called 'mechanical eating revistied' that you might find interesting to read.  Eating when you don't really feel like it is helping at least one person recover.
