Hello, I need some idaes for breakfast that are low in calories and quick to prepare as I usually rush to school every morning- and I always have lunch outside, it's not really healthy so I have to conserve my calories for lunch.
Anyone got any ideas for breakfast that's under 100cals apart from oatmeal and cereals? I take them everyday and I'm so tired of them!

fruit: 2 apples or 1 banana or like 2 cups of strawberries or 2 peaches, etc. But, and you probably already know this, you should get more food than 100 cals for breakfast!!!
unlimited sticks of celery?
Why only 100 calories, just curious
I do fresh fruit. Bannanas and apples mostly. I stick to the non-messy fruits do to commuting via public transportation. As long as you don't get the ones that they grow to the size of your head, you're almost always under 100 cals. Also, those little yogurt cups are 100 calories and $.50 or less in my area.
Under 100 cals sounds too low for breakfast! Breakfast is the meal of the day that's easiest to burn.
If you worry about rushing to school, my teenagers eat Zone bars, they are 210 cals and score an 'A' on this site. You can get them at Walmart, my kids like Chocolate Mint and Strawberry Yogurt flavors. They have a decent mix of carbs, protein, and fat and have other good nutrients.

A piece of fruit , a cup of light yogurt with fruit cut up in it, an egg white omelette with veggies, a banana, a piece of whole grain toast or a whole grain english muffin with butter spray, a piece of string cheese hmmmmm there are lots of things around the 100 calorie mark but I doubt they'd fill you up. Perhaps try a combination and allow yourself 200 for the morning so you can get in a protein and a complex carb.
I'm a light breakfast eater myself. I usually do around 200 calories. Why so low? Because I'm not awake enough to enjoy it, so I would rather save my calories for tastier choices during the day. If I could have a 100 calorie breakfast that would actually keep me OK for 3 hours, I would eat it everyday.
It's because I am always too sleepy to enjoy the food, and I feel full really easily, so I spread my daily calorific intake to 6 meals a day.I snack during breaktime, so for me breakfast is not that important as I'll be snacking again in another 2 hours!
A cold hard boiled egg can be taken with you a long as you have somewhere to ditch the shell, could prepare it the night before, a piece of fruit for carbs too
i like sauteeing spinach (dont bother adding oil to the pan, a bit of water will cook it through) a little bit of cheese (whatever you like) and an egg white or two. I dont get too hungry in the morning and this really satiates me until lunch time.
My favorite quick grabs are hard boiled eggs, yogurt, or half cup of cottage cheese. Remember its important to get some protein right away in the morning to jump start your metabolism!
2 hard boiled eggs with a little salt and pepper.
apples.
oatmeal...quaker oats lower sugar in apples & cinnamon is only 110 calories.

haha 'caloriifc'...I love that word
*Edit* you answered my question... didn't see *blush*
When I have the early shift at work (5AM), I usually just take a meal replacement shake, I think it's 110 cals and it's high in protein- AdvantEdge or something. But then I eat my 'real breakfast' at 7 or 8. It's just something to tide me over til then...

err....I would recommend eating a larger breakfast? : P
Instant oatmeal by Quaker- pour in water, stick in microwave, heat 1-2 minutes, and be filled up very quickly. : )
My favorite flavor is Cinnamon and Apples (or something like that), but a lot of people like different ones. ^^

Systo,
Eating protein at breakfast is *so* important. I have experimented with different breakfast foods, and have found that the high protein options keep me feeling the best until lunch - no mid morning cravings. The *best* breakfast I have found:
Healthy Egg McMuffin
1) Toasted Thomas' light multigrain english muffin (100 cals, 8g fibre, 7g protein)
2) 2 Egg whites (made in a frying pan using cooking spray) (34 calories, 7.5g protein)
3) 1 slice Kraft fat free American cheese slice (30 cals, 5g protein)
The sandwhich has 164 calories, and 19.5g protein, and almost no fat! This sandwhich packs a BIG nutritional punch.

shayna, that sounds GOOOOOD! I'm gonna have to try that some time!
I leave for work at 5:30 am so I need something quick. I like to munch on dry cereal like Fiber one. I measure it out and put it in a sandwich bag and eat it on the way to work with a cold Diet Mt. Dew. I know I know......soda at 5:30 in the morning but I don't drink coffee.
I buy un-sweetened frozen fruits (strawberries, peaches, and blueberries) and then top them off with some light-n-fit yogurt. I like to make it at night before bed and refridgerate it overnight. Then in the morning, the fruits are unfrozen. I top it off with a little granola too, but if you only want 100 cals... Without the granola, you can get a good-sized breakfast for not a lot of calories, plus its quick and easy.
I'd have to vote for a smoothie. Get one of the no sugar added
yogurts, those are 60 calories. Then add some fruit and ice
and sweetener like splenda. I usually put in a splash of
OJ, that would put you over a bit so I suppose you could just use
water. Use low cal fruits, strawberries are good and have a ton
of fiber. I think you could easily do it for 100 calories.
My smoothies are usually higher because I put in a banana, and that's
another 90 calories, but leave it out and you'll be at 100 or
120. Plus you can drink it on the way, put it in a coffee travel
mug.
