Breakfast issues...

Quote  |  Reply

I know I'm supposed to eat breakfast in the morning. But I haven't been eating breakfast for years and on the rare occassion that I DO try to eat something, I end up feeling sick...anyone else had a problem like this? Any suggestions as to what I should do?

if you CANNOT eat something then have a glass of milk and some nuts. or find a good meal replacement shake that you like. even a banana and a yogurt would suffice or a hard boiled egg and a slice of toast. try things that are bland and less heavy.

I had the exact same problem for a really long time. I have found that if I stop eating after dinner or atleast keep the late night snacking to a minimum I am able to eat breakfast. Hope this helps! :)

I used to have this problem: I'd never eat breakfast because I was always still full from the night before.... well, that just told me I had to eat a bit less and I had to convince myself that food would be coming in the morning so eating a bit less was OK! It's helped with my stomach issues too: who would have thought STUFFING yourself with vegetables would give you bloat & gas? ha ha....

As for breakfast options though, start out with something small - an egg or two... maybe a slice of whole grain toast... or you can always have my favorite... pumpkin puree - getting in a little something in the morning has helped me out a lot in terms of working out harder, plus I feel more normal, because back when I used to just eat lunch, I would always start to think about eating around 10 or 11 but now I don't get hungry until about 1 or so: when you don't think about food you're a lot more productive!

I've always had this issue. I usually have a banana first thing with my tea just to get thing rolling and then have a little something (Oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled egg ect) about an hour and a half later. I've never been a fan of big meals so I'm usually "snacking" throughout the day anyway.

The goal is really just eat something a simple and and good for your tummy as possible. I rarely ever have breakfast related tummy troubles anymore.
