I know we are supposed to eat breakfast when we get up. When I get up, I go to the gym first. It's like up at 8, gym at 820 and work out for an hour to 1.5 hours. Then i come home to shower, eat and get ready for the day.
Is this okay? I feel like its okay, but just wanted to know.
I used to do that (except it was at 5 am , not 8), but then I started eating a little something beforehand like toast and found that my workouts improved, so now I actually eat a more substantial amount in the AM before the gym and feel better all day - more energized, less hungry. I get up around 5 and eat some cereal w/ almonds and a banana w/yogurt, or egg & cheese on toast, or toast with PB.. defintely something with protein and I try to get some fat in there too. Then I go to the gym and when I get to work at 8:30 I get all settled in and eat something around 9 Usually oatmeal with almonds or yogurt w/ banana or apple w/ PB - it depends on what I ate before the gym.
