What did YOU have for breakfast today?
I have seen lots of 'What did you eat today', 'what did you have for lunch today', ect....but I have never seen a breakfast one. I think this is a great way to try new foods and get other ideas.
For starters, this is what I had:
- Oatmeal with half a banana, Cinnamon, and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract;
- Half a kiwi;
- Raspberries;
- Raisins;
- Strawberries;
- Unsalted cashews;
- and raw almonds.
What did YOU have today?
Oatmeal, yogurt, and coffee!
Oatmeal with soymilk, oat bran, crushed almonds, sliced banana, blueberries, peanut butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. And yeah...it didn't taste very good.
Today it was an egg with garlic, parsley, cilantro and pepper; slice whole wheat toast with peanut butter; about 1/3 cup of raspberries; 1/8 cantaloupe (sp?)wedge; soy milk; green tea (I had a banana and some dates about 1/2 hour before my workout which was right before breakfast).
Microwaved kidney beans and a slice of toast!
Coffee. Of course.
i had
- 1 slice sourdough, dry
- 2 small slices tomato
- 2 slice's butterball turkey backon
- 1 poached egg
- 1/2 kiwi
- 1/2 banana
- coffee
Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal
1 Large Apple
Handful of baby carrots
and then for my mid morning snack (since i eat breakfast really early), i had lowfat snack sized cottage cheese.
Blueberry muffin mini wheats - my new favorite cereal! Yum!
Oatmeal with 1/4 cup dried cherries, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon cherry jam.
yummm :)
thomas' bagel square, 1 tbspn PB, jelly, apple, hardboiled egg
Egg white and mushroom scramble with rye and sliced tomato.
And coffee.
A cup of raw sweetpotato diced, a cup of zucchini cubes, two small plums, a vanilla protein shake and lots of dark roast Fair Trade coffee black.
Ground rice (minus the added sugar they tell you to put in on the recipe on the box) made with unsweetened soya milk. I usually have half a large banana chopped up on top, or 2/3 chopped up prunes :)
I cut out gluten from my diet 3months ago and this is my favorite breakfast alternative. It's also nicer for my IBS in the morning because it's warm and doesn't shock my stomach.
Low-cal and keeps me full up comfortably until lunch no problem!
PANCAKES! Made with 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 4 egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal, a tsp of vanilla, and some splenda in a blender. SO good, and SO much protein.
I also make a lot of french toast, using egg whites, skim milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in the batter, and the 45 calorie slices of bread from Sara Lee.
My day isn't complete without hot breakfast.
52g Kashi Go Lean
12g ground flax seed
1.5g cinnamon
104g raspberries
230g Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
MMM MMM good!
coffee, of course
Fiber one caramel crunch with skim milk (3/4 cup + 1/4 cup milk)
1/2 whole wheat cinnamon raisin bagel w/ peanut butter
blueberries
water
YUM
2 cups of honey bunches of oats (OMG can't get enough) with a cup of soymilk and some raspberries.
i had: two eggo nutrigrain lowfat waffles and a quaker chewy chocolate chip granola bar :)
I had a boiled egg, fibre one honey clusters cereal with no fat milk and a glass of low sodium V8
I made an egg white omelet with spinach and diced onion, and had a smoothie from GNC made with strawberries and papaya.
