I go with lower sugar quaker oatmeal.  110 calories in the Apples and Cinnamon :)
Wow, my breakfast is 600 cals on workout days (and 300 cals other days).  My stomach would be growling all morning if I ate that little.
my b-fast is about 400 cals. i personally like the larger cal b-fasts.
My breakfast is 250-300 calories depending on which brand of cereal I'm having and if I decided to have a banana or blueberries (blueberries have less calories)... I'd expect I'd be STARVING if I had less than 200 at breakfast time!
I try to rotate breakfasts:  quaker lower sugar oatmeal maple & brown sugar (120) w. pine-orange-banana juice (100), Cheerios (100), w. 1/6C. Craisins (65) & 1/2C fat free skim milk (40), or  GoLean Crunch w. 1/6C Craisins (255)...just depends on my workout days.

Sorry, can't consider 100 cal breakfast a actual breakfast.

those recipes don't say how many servings each one makes, or how big a serving is...
i am struggling to get the 350 calories i should have at breakfast. you def want more than 200 in the morning, unless all you do all day is sleep.
why would anyone want to eat less than 200 calories for breakfast?

Ugh I feel badly for Carlaann, she was just trying to share :)

While I also have between 300-400 for breakfast I can appreciate her list.  I'll just take two items from it :)

same comment as alleycat - they don't say how many servings the recipe makes; and the grits recipe makes 6 cups. if i spend 45 minutes making 6 cups of grits, i'll probably eat a pretty large (probably more than 200 calorie) portion of it.
If I don't keep my breakfast down under 200 I will be puting the pounds back on fast......
Err.... Is anybody else not really hungry in the mornings?

I got with 3/4 cup Special K Protein Plus or 3/4 cup GoLean with 3/4 cup skim milk. I usually have a larger lunch and tons of snacks after dinner, but I eat when I'm hungry and don't when I'm not.

From the Granola one (150 cals, one serving):

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 4 tablespoons margarine or butter (1/2 stick), melted
  • Um...how is this 150 cals? 1/2 stick butter and 3/4 cup honey has got to be at least 500 cals?!
