Breaking through Restrictions
Im almost done with restricting the only part i still restrict are pasrties [idk why.]
Well today My mom told me she noticed an attitude difference in my and I started smiling because it was a change for the best =]
Today she said she is going to cook me some spaghetti !!! =]
Haven't had spaghetti in about a year.
Good to see my ed dying off as I progress.
Just felt like letting everyone know my current status. =]
Im so happy!
That's excellent! Life's too short not to enjoy the pleasures food can offer, and certainly too short to be obsessing about every little thing you put in your mouth.
Congrats!! You've made huge progress since I've met you on the site! Hope you enjoy that spaghetti! =D
I myself 'rediscovered' sweets and chocolate during my vacation this past week. I totally forgot how yummy they are =]
congrats. i love reading things like this. you are doing so well. keep it up!!
maybe with the pastry thing you can have a small one first...maybe go to starbucks and get a petite vanilla bean scone. or get a muffin and eat half of it and give the other half away. if you're still not ready, just take it slow and eat it when you feel comfortable.
i hope the spaghetti is good.
Nutrition and cognitive function are linked.... Malnutrition often brings behavioural problems, depression, delusions and other mental side-effects. The vicious circle of starvation pattern eating disorders is that the sufferer sinks lower mentally as well as physically... By reversing that trend and eating more you are actively nourishing your brain and therefore able to think more rationally and climb out of the depression. Hence the better 'attitude'. Your mother must be heaving a sigh of relief.
Enjoy the spaghetti.... have plenty, you deserve it.
That's great news, Dekkos! Glad to see your new positive outlook on food and your well being.
And about the pastries, I can totally understand where you are coming from. To be honest with you, I was never big on pastries myself. Though, I am starting to slowly add them back into my diet. What helps me is when I actually bake them myself. You will know and control what you put into them, plus making them is always more fun and in the end more enjoyable. You may just want to slowly introduce them back into your diet when you feel more comfortable like I did so that it won't ruin your new, positive attitude.
PS - Pasta was always my favourite food! I hope you thoroughly enjoyed a great BIG bowl last night! :)
