Breast implants - Do they look good or not?
So, today while I was working out I noticed quite a few very fit and muscular women at the gym. On top of it they were all tan and blonde and beautiful....just the perfect thing to make me feel like crap...lol. But, seriously they looked great. The only thing is all of them except for one had very obvious breast implants. I know that when most of us get really lean our boobs are often the first to go. I happen to be one of the lucky or unlucky (depending on your perspective) ones who loses weight in my boobs last and I have big one's at that. So, it is likely that even if I lose this last 5-7lbs I will still have some decent sized boobs left. Anyway, I wanted to know what people think: Do breast implants look good or not?
My opinion is they can look good if they are not too big. I don't think it is all that attractive when you can see the edge of the implant and there is that big gap in the cleavage. On the other hand personally I don't like the idea of a foreign object implanted in my body, but I also have boobs so I have never faced the dilemma.

I can never tell if someone has them or not unless it is really obvious. I think the question cant really be answered unless you make it more specific though. a teeny girl with huge ones that don't fit her will look horrible. it just depends on whether they fit or not.
In my personal opinion, I like smaller breasts than big ones (although it doesn't matter unless you get a boob job) so no, I think they're ugly.
i only agree with them if it's really a necessity
for your own self image
or after breast cancer masectomy-
and then, i just hope you choose ones appropriate for your frame/size-
ones that don't necessarily make you look like you're smuggling a donkey pinata or rather large cantaloupes...

i think breast implants are disgusting, and i can almost always tell when someone has them. i'll never understand why a women would mutilate herself that way.
I think this is unnecessarily harsh. Obviously I can see why someone would never want to go through surgery unless 100% necessary, so it's not totally unfounded. I have met some women that I never would have been able to tell if they hadn't told me. I never thought I'd get my boobs done but as I'm getting older, I'm starting to rethink that.
and as for the "your own self image" thing? i'm sorry, i don't buy it. if the media portrayed tiny breasted women as ideal and attractive, and men goggled over them like they do over big fake boobs, then the same women would be getting reductions to look like that.
i'm not saying ALL men like big breasts, they don't. but last time i opened up a mens magazine, i certainly didn't see very many A-cups.
my real problem is with 20 something fit women inflating their chests with water bags.
I don't like them simply because I can look at a pair and say, Nice fake t*ts. I don't care if you go to Dr. Rey in LA, if they're fake, you can tell--at least most women can--and especially on somehow who just got them to increase their bust size, and if they're a tiny person all around.
However, for women who've had children, dramatic weight loss, cancer--anything that alters the shape and size of the breast, I think implants can really help and tend to be less obvious.
I'm with Jules. Most women with implants have mutilated themselves so conform to stupid ideas of what breasts should look like. It disgusts me.
Then again, I have big saggy natural ones. And the idea of going to have a surgery even to lift them up makes me ill -- I might lose feeling in my nipples, I would have scars, I wouldn't be able to breastfeed (And really, what good is a boob if it won't feed a child? Really, they are just human udders!), with any surgery with anesthesia, there is a likelihood you can (and will, in the case of that FL cheerleader) die, you have a long recovery period, etc, etc, etc.
I think women should only get them if they have had a masectomy.
Big and flappy or tiny and pert. People need to realize you CAN'T have it all and INDIVIDUALITY is awesome.
My answer to the "do they look good" question is the same for fake boobs or real boobs. It depends on the clothes over them. We all think we can spot fake boobs, but I think that's really when a woman is wearing something very revealing (low cut, tight, etc) and not when it's "normal" clothes. I'm quite sure if a woman with breast implants was in normal clothes it would be difficult to tell. I have a very good friend who got implants, and she is a tiny woman -- she got them very proportional to her frame and her weight. She wears "normal" and not uber-revealing clothes and she looks GREAT! And you don't look at her and go "that woman has fake boobs." And by normal clothes, I don't mean a burlap bag; just clothes that are not totally revealing and borderline slutty.
I think whatever makes you feel confident as a person is fine. I don't really have an opinion on what others do with their bodies. If if makes you stand taller and with more confidence, go for it.
Assuming of course it's not some kind of plastic surgery addiction or something like that.
I think you guys are just jealous. you're "threatened" by other people getting bigger boobs. don't deny it, because it's pretty impossible for a female not to compare herself to others..it's in the genes. you're "proud" of your boobs and you think that its only fair everyone should stick with what they get. Thats what I'm reading from your posts.
getting breast implants isn't all that different from getting jewelry or tattoos. "OMG! she pierced her ears?! why is she mutilating herself?!"
it just depends on what society thinks is "normal" at the time.
I also think its interesting that some people say big boobs look bad, EXCEPT when they are gotten by implants. that doesn't make sense at all, since we know that boobs do not always fit frame size in nature. A lot of you are saying the REASON for getting the implants has to do with how you perceive them.
*sigh*
and pierced ears and jewelry are just a liiittle bit different than undergoing major surgery, don't you think?
I just think it comes down to the person. I can totally understand and respect the fact a lot of women wouldn't dream of going under the knife for aesthetics. I wouldn't rage on to a friend (which I have several) who have done it. Some look really good, some don't, but whatever.
My udders are done being milked so they belong to just me now!
I like them but im biase as i have a rather fetching set myself lol.
I had implants 8 weeks ago they arn't huge and they fit my frame nicely i had them done because my natural boobs went all floppy after breastfeeding and floppy boobs are definatly NOT attractive, id had a injury so i couldn't dance (im a poledancer) so i thought it was a good time to get it done
TBH i think it depends on the implants and depends on the girl they need to fit the frame stupidly big ones are gonna look stupid end of story... its all a matter of taste... mine took be from a floppy C cup to a perky DD ... in normal everday clothers there isn't that much diffence tbh ... but when i dress up to go out on a night on the town or when im bieng sexy for the hubby or poledancing there is a Huge improvement.
My experience has been brilliant you wouldn't understand what a change they can make to your life till you have them done mostly its confidence related ... suddenly i feel like a woman again after years of feeling like a bag lady all i need now is the body to match them.
I would NEVER had thought about breast implants till i had kids and suddenly had 2 deflated balloons of skin attached to my chest ... but i love them and i wouldn't go back for a minute.
the and male attention i get is always a plus too ....no matter what most blokes say they either can't tell the difference or really don't care i can't go anywhere without a stare or two
If a woman feels more confident with bigger breasts, I say go for it. If the cost of the surgery pays for long lasting confidence that makes a woman feel more special or more comfortable in her own skin, I think she should go for it. You can say that looks don't count at all, but I'd like to find a person who hasn't felt a boost of confidence after getting those awesome pair of jeans or finding that perfect hairstyle.
This is coming from a girl with not much in the bra, either, so I'm not speaking from experience. ;)
Nope, not jealous. I have huge natural tits. They sag. They have sagged since like, 8th grade. It's how my tits are made, people.
I'm pretty sure that jewelery and tattoos (sorry, no ink here, and only occassionally wear earrings) are WAY different from going under the knife to put big plastic bags under my chest. I won't even drink out of plastic, and apparently I'm jealous that people are injecting the stuff into their bodies? Riiiiiiiight.
Yeah...and no big difference between Cs and DDs? Are you kidding? What would define "stupidly big ones" for you? I have DDs and they are huge! HUGE! And it's hard to find bras that fit! And that's not "stupidly big"? LOL. Whatever.
I don't know why people are taking offense.
The question asked for opinions on whether breast implants look good.
I said no because for the most part, they look fake.
It has nothing to do with the women who get them or why.
