Breast reduction

Quote  |  Reply
Reading the breast augmentation thread got me thinking. Some day I might get a breast reduction.

My question is this: did your bra size get smaller after you lost weight? I have 20 pounds to lose.

I lost 75 lbs in 1997,  from 280 to 125, and yes, your boobs will be smaller.

I had a breast reduction at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and it was great. I had absolutely NO pain at all.  Going braless for the first time and have guys actually oogle me was totally weird.

I gained back up to 225, and my boobs still look good, just bigger.  I've lost down to 183 and they are slowly disappearing again.  I'm 51 and considering augmentation for firmness when I reach my goal weight.

I would love for Dr. Rey from Dr 90215 to do my boob job!
My bra size went down by only 1 cup size with a 45 pound weight loss, going from a DD to a D.

I have very seriously considered reduction, but I'm still kinda young, so I want to do a lot more research on it.
I think it all depends on the person. I've gone down 2 cups sizes from a DD to a C and I've only lost 18 pounds.
I lost around 50 pounds and went from a large D to a sad, small B. But I think my skin is starting to tighten up finally. My breasts is the first thing to go when I lose weight.
When I lost weight I never lost it in the boobs.  I lost 40 lbs and still was a DDD!  So I got the breast reduction.  Best thing I ever did in my life.  And I'm only 22.  But the doctors will make you try to lose weight first to see if it will come off.  Mine didnt.
I had a breast reduction 4 years ago. Hands down the best decision I ever made [.] I lost 54lbs at the same time. Start weight was 181lbs. At time of surgery, 140lbs. At the start I was size E. At time of surgery DD. After surgery C.* It changed my life. The surgeon said losing weight drastically improved the surgery, results and my recovery.

After 4months I saw my physician and she said I had the best breasts she'd ever seen. If you live in eastern Ontario, my ps name was Dr. H. Silverman.

*they took 4lbs out of my breasts
Yeah..i lost weight in my breast when i first lost some weight earlier in 2006. I went from a 40 DD to a 36C. I would love to be a B though. I dont know about yall but i hate my breast. Not because of the way they look cuz my man would beg to differ..but i just hate lugging them around and I hate bras. I just want some lil bumps and thats it. Im hoping that once i loose the weight i want that they will go down to a B.
Hey newveggie, I'm a DDD too and know what you must have been going through. I'm 24 years old and in serios need of a reduction (I've been on a waiting list for 4 years because I need to lose 60lbs for my health plan to cover the cost of the surgury). I pray to God I will lose some weight in my breasts when I lose some weight. I've always been large chested but they got way too huge after I had my daughter 2 years ago (went from a D to a DDD)
Although I was never very large chested, mine went buhbye when I lost the weight.

Upside is that I can go braless on those hot summer days when that extra layer just sucks. :)
Boobs are fat and yes they will get smaller as you lose weight. It really depends on the person. I lost 20 lbs and went from a C to an A. :-(  Waaaahhhh!!!

The upside for me is that running is easier and shirts fit me better. Unfortunately, washboard boobs make my waist look thicker than it is because there is no curve to define the waist. My hips are that way too. Straight    &nb sp;               &nb sp;              d

I've been wondering about this. I was told weaning would make them smaller, but it seems that didn't hold true for me.

I've wondered if weight loss will help bring me to a place where I can do archery <bit of Amazonian referece there *giggle*> or if my end result is going to be something looks like I need tube socks tied around my neck instead of lingerie.

Good to see other people's experience here.
Hi, I am new to the site and this topic caught my eye.  My weight has ranged from 130 with a DD to now, 196 with an F or G depending on the Bra.  Yea they do make them that big.  IT SUCKS.  I have ALWAYS hated having large breasts and have considered a reduction many times. I am very motivated to lose the weight back to about 135, I am hoping that they go down quite a bit.  If not, it is nice to hear that so many of you have had it done and love it.  thanks for the inspiration!!!
It seems like I only lose a minimal amount there.  I was a C in HS at 155 lbs, and am a D-DD now at 245 lbs.  (Mostly, it depends on the brand.)  The kicker for me is I went from a 34 rib cage to a 38...

Hello I am new here but ya know I think that cup size does go down and as a teen with a border line C-D cup all I can say is thank god! However I would consider reduction however I I have 28 or so lbs to lose so who knows.
For all those who have had a BR I would love to chat with you. I just would like to know more about the procedure and the pros/cons.
Anyone wanna chat on MSN, let me know :)
tiger lily, I will chat with you.  Or you can just email me.  I havent used MSN in so long I dont even know what my user name is anymore.  But yeah I dont know how much I can tell you except my experience.  I have a couple of good stories too!!!  But I say that I am so glad I got it down now because I know so many women who wait until they are older (40's and 50's) and their problems got so much more severe than they would have if they would have got it done earlier.  I feel so much better and my arms dont go numb, my headaches are gone, I can run!!! and so much more.  Wearing normal clothes is a big one too.  And the other thing, yes I have scars.  But they really arent that bad, and the bra covers all of them.  My husband says he doesnt even notice, but I know better.  Any more questions just ask or email me.  I think my email is in my profile but if not I will put it there right now.

Depending on what size you are, yes or no. I know some chicks who had 36D's at about 5'6" 150 lbs, then lose weight and went down to a 32B.

Then there's me and my sister-in-law. She was a 34G who then lost about 20 lbs and was still a 34F. Then there's me at 155lbs right now and a 34I. I don't expect to lose a lot of boob as I lose weight because my weight isn't really that outrageous to begin with.

If you are naturally endowed with giant bosums don't expect to lose a lot of it with weight.

And if anyone is interested in a really cool doctor who I have engaged as my breast reduction surgeon check out Laserbra.com The doctor (Dr. Stevens) developed this really cool and revolutionary method to do breast reduction. Its crazy cool and I look forward to losing the weight and getting the reduction by the end of the year.

I lost 60lbs and am told when i get fitting im bigger in my boobs than b4!!! can anyone explain this! I went from a G to H!?!?   will they do a reduction still now they just look like pancakes!
