Hey there calorie counters!
I want to lose a few pounds, I'm not overweight, but I'm also far from underweight... I can still lose some 15 lbs without getting unhealthy. I want to reduce fat, and tone, so I get a nicer, more defined body. Right now, my body is flabby, and my lower body is my problem area.
That being said, I guess I store more fat in the lower area. Well, not guess, I DO store more fat there. I need to lose my lower ab fat, and my inner thighs, and around my hips... I also have some fat in the upper body, but not as critical.
My breasts are like a B cup, and I've lost like 20 lbs since I was overweight. I didn't lose any cup sizes, I've been a B since puberty (I'm 20). I lost a little bit of volume... but just that.
I need to lose more fat however... and while I'm bottom heavy, I'm afraid I'll end up flat... and I wouldn't want that :( I want to look proportioned... IF I end up losing a cup size or more, how can I deal with it? I want to look proportioned, but I'd also love to keep some curves up there... gosh I wish I was bigger up top, actually! Let's face it, boobies are attractive... I'd rather have natural small breasts though, I'd NEVER have surgery (personal choice, fear of anesthesia...).
Well, breasts are fat, you are going to lose it. :/ You don't usually see girls who are 100 lbs with D cups that often for a reason. (while you often see 300+ lbs people with double Ds or something). I have the same problem but kinda gave up on it. I wouldn't go down a cup though T_T i would CRY because it would be official....
you cannot spot reduce, it all depends on your genetics. i wanted my boobs to go down a size or two because i thought they were too big..well 20lbs later still no change. i hear that some people have denser breast tissue than others and that is how they keep it.
i guess you should do chest exercises that will help you build a strong perky upper body, so that even if you go down another cup size, they will still look amazing :)
Well, I've lost 30 pounds and have yet to lose a cup size (been a DD since I was 14 - am 21 now). If your pattern has been the same so far, it doesn't seem terribly likely that it will change now. Granted, I'm not exactly skinny - just under 150 lbs at 5'4" for a BMI just over 25 - and maybe the pattern changes when you get within a healthy BMI range.
And if you see yourself starting to shrink, you can always stop losing if it's that important (which I absolutely understand). And if it becomes a real problem, I can maybe make you feel better with a list of bad things about having big boobs. :-)
And I agree with zcn203 about the chest exercises - I'm working on that at the moment as well (#1 annoying thing about natural big boobs: perkiness is not an option.
).
i'm 55 pounds down from my heaviest and i've only lost a cup size. i think small chests make your entire body look slimmer. i'm a proud member of the itty-bitty-titty-committee! i can hug closer, lay on my tummy, run without knocking myself out, and i plan on having the perkiest breasts in the nursing home! you play the hand you're dealt, you may as well like it!
all that said, yeah. i'd go with the chest exercises too.
Honestly, there's pretty much nothing that you can do to change where the fat comes off. I'm one of those freaks that has a 32DD / 34D breast at 106 lbs. To tell the truth, I wish I had a C or B... but we all wish for what we don't have, right?
If you do end up losing from your breasts, the only thing I can suggest is investing in some flattering bras - push up, padded, etc that help to balance you out. Pectoral exercises might help with perkiness, but only to a minor extent.
Good luck - here's to hoping you don't lose from the breasts!
I'm a lot larger than you... but I have small boobs (for my body size VERY small boobs!) I was worried they'd disappear entirely, but while I've lost bust size with my weightloss (8 inches and counting, boo-hoo!) the actual cup size is still the same as it was 70lbs ago. The weight's come off my back and sides rather than my front because I don't have a lot there TO lose. If you lose enough weight, you're going to lose breast fat too - it's inevitable. But you can always stop or go up a few pounds if you think you're disappearing entirely.
Orangecls- you may have to compete with me for the perkiest tatas in the nursing home haha. ;)
When I get down to about 114 (im 5'8 btw), I dont even have enough to fill out an A cup. Its kinda sad now that I think about it.... I know I'm not quite that tiny yet (I no longer weigh myself so I go by how clothes fit and what I see), but my boyfriend did just ask-"hey just out of curiousity, where did your boobs disappear to?"
Its totally a genetics thing. I do agree with Fox903 though-if you work your upperbody, you will have a better looking chest no matter what!
And just a random side note: this thread reminds me of that one Slimquick diet pill commercial where the cartoon style husband and wife are dieting and they cut out carbs or soda or something and he loses 15 pounds and her boobs just shrink up :( lol it gets me everytime.
the one time i got to my goal weight (i had mono, so obviously it did not stick. now i'm doing it the correct way), i went from a C to an A. it felt kind fo sad at first. but my boyfriend didn't care. if that's what youR'e worried about: guys carring. if you just like having your girls be bigger, unfortunately, if youR'e trying to lose weight, they'll go too. once you are in a healthy BMI, you become proportioned to your own body. what i mean is: you look the way you were meant to look. if that means little boobs, that's what you get. i don't look like the kind of girl who would be an a cup: i have a salma hayek figure. but you accept it, like anything about your body ocne it looks the closest you want it to look. because at least the rest of it looks awesome, having smaller boobs means it's easier to find bras (the most popular cups are B and C), you can wear more styles of bikinis (and wear a bikini!) instead of having to worrya bout support. sometimes, you can not wear a bra if you want to and you don't look super saggy.
i'm telling you, it's not so bad in the end. if that's the only thing you don't like about your body (once you get there), i say you'Re fine. everyone hates something about their body. even models/actresses/people who you think are perfect.
My personal opinion is that it all depends on the amount of breast tissue that you naturally have. When I went through puberty, I was slightly overweight so my breast so I grew C cups. A few years later when I was in a healthy BMI range and, what I believed was my body's set weight, my breasts reduced down to a small B cup, but were mostly breast tissue and little fat. That is why some people CAN be 100lbs and have D cups. It's all about genetics.
I was an A cup all through my teens - at one point more like an AA. I didn't develop until I was 19 and then I got these huge C cups, verging on D's but I refused to wear the proper bra XD When I gained weight they stayed the same, then when I lost I went back to an A cup. You can't choose where you lose fat, and sometimes it's a question of whether you want to be thinner or whether you want to have breasts. I have learned to embrace having a smaller chest and looking on the bright side of it. I would never want to have implants. It's really just about deciding what is more important to you.
I have lost all of my boobs lol.... Before weight loss and kids, I wore a full C,
3 beautiful, breastfed babies, up and down fro 200 to 125 over and over (pregnancies) I do not even fill a NEARLY A cup.... no big deal,
I will say, since I have been doing the jillian michaels 30 day shred I have built up, my pectoral muscles..
So even though I have no fatty tissue on my boobs, to actually fill a cup, low cut shirts look awesome with a good faux bra, because I have really good cleavage due to the muscles I have grown. l
I am 47.....5'7"....I have lost 64 lbs and I have gone from a 38DDD to a 34-36DDD and can wear some DD cups. I have lost 6 inches in my waist hips and thighs just recently by walking at least 3 miles a day! I started walking this past May. Walking removes inches.....it is spot reduction in a sense!
