breast after weight loss

Quote  |  Reply
I'm loseing weight right now and i'm at a 36DD, I can tell I'm already losing some weight in my breast. I'm scared that they are either going to fall flat, or just sag at a c cup or something.

How have any of you women who are finished losing weight dealt with breast issues. I'm only 20 years old, i dont want to look like I've breastfeed 5 kids before I even get pregneat.

Well, breast are fat to be quite blunt. I don't envy a dd. That's a lot of extra dead weight to carry around. If you're concerned with keeping your breast though. I would suggest only doing full body workouts. That's what I did.( I'm 5'2 ) I went from 113lbs probably to 186lbs in the last couple months of carrying my little bundle of joy. ( The doctors said due to water weight. Which there was nothing they could do for since it would cause complications. ) It's a year later I've lost all of my baby weight. I'm maintaining 105lbs now and the healthiest I've ever been. I didn't lose any of my breast. I was a 36c pre-baby and they ballooned up to a double d, during pregnancy. After losing all of my baby weight I still maintain a c cup, just like before. However, my waist band size beneath my breast has decreased from a 36 to a 34. So yeah. You'll end up with whatever God rightfully intended. I would suggest focusing on wholebody workouts though. That way you lose weight proportionally over your whole body.
Thanks that good to know.
Hey...I look like I breast fed 5 kids.  I went from a D to an A (I'm a C right now).  I was left with A LOT of extra skin and stretch marks (gross, gross, gross!).  It all depends on genetics because some people have more breast tissue than others.  I don't have much so my breasts are mostly fat.  When I lose weight, they go too.
so how much weight did you lose when you went from a D to an A? and how did you become a C now?
I understand your problem.  I lost 90# and my boobs are flat and saggy!  Not what I want in my 20s.  But I would rather have that then carrying arounds those 90#.
you are so not supposed to say that lol, not what I wanted to hear!
I'm a B now, they're a bit saggy, not too much tho. Can't say I'm not happy about the B cup, big breasts are a nuisance at least in my opinion, they put constant weight on the shoulders while wearing a bra and when it's hot outside you can't give up the bra cuz they bounce around and well.... you know the reaction.
After I had my kids and breastfed them both, I went from 170 pounds (right after birth) to 124 pounds...(I'm 5'5".)  I went from a 36DD to a 32D.  So, I haven't lost much in the boobs, just in the rib cage area.  Also, I make sure to lift weights after a good run and focus on the chest area and now my boobs are firmer than before I had kids!  Just make sure to do cardio and lift weights and you'll be fine.  And if not, it's easier to lift boobs with a bra than to squeeze into a smaller size...

I went from a 36C to a 34B after losing 25 pounds...kinda sucked but I don't really care THAT much
stefiann

What exercises do you do to focus on your chest? I just know about push ups and flys.
Okay, so I can't remember the name of the exercises, so I'll do my best to describe...I stand with 8 pound weights in each hand with my arms lifted to 90 degrees (like you are posing to show off your biceps) and I squeeze my elbows together until they touch.  I do several reps in about 3-4 sets.  I only do this every other day as it allows for my muscles to repair themselves after slight ripping.   I don't know if that description of the position and exercise makes any sense at all.  I also bench press while trying to focus on using my chest muscles when lifting.  I use 50-60 pounds doing that.  I think the first exercise I described works the best.  But even more importantly I believe cardio is best.  Getting excess weight off first through rigorous cardio, then using weights to tone the areas you want firmer.  Hope that helps!!
I lost 96 pounds 4 years ago.  My breast size went from a 44DD to a 36C.  Yes, my breasts were very saggy. I referred to them as tennis balls in tube socks.   Ofcourse I am alot older than you.  I was 43 at the time and had nursed 3 children.  I thought I could live with it but I was wrong.  I had a breast lift done a year later.  It was worth all $4200.00
Ive lost 117 pounds and I am 23 years old. I went from a 40DD to a 36D. I still have 37 pounds to lose to be at a healthy weight, and my breasts make me cry.  I'm being completely honest and I am sorry, but they are no go on the sexy scale.

You can always opt for surgry in the future, but lets not concentrate on your body.  You are gaining your health back. Focus on that, and think about further options down the road when you are healthy and fit. :)  That's how I'm dealing with it.

Hi !...I am 20,( 5ft 4 ) and i used to weigh 184.8 lbs and now i am 117 lbs. All that happened in less than a years time . my boob size was 36D and now its 34 A :( .... ! it is really depressing !!!! M quite uncertain if pills wud really work ?? I have even looked up Brava breast enhancement, but m never to sure if its worth giving a try .

Gaining my weight back is out of the question now...as i really like my size 8 body, except for the padded bras which kinda does looks obvious.
i used to weigh 148 lbs at 5'7 and just by cutting out drinking and adding in excercise over a year i went down to 112 lbs. I wasn't really trying to lose weight, i just became more health concious.

My boob went from a 36C to a 34A. They're so small now. They look fine in a push-up bra, but bathing suits and sports bras, they're non existant. =(

I am trying to gain some weight now, though, so maybe they'll make their return!
As somebody else said above, I guess it depends on how much is fat and how much breast tissue as to how much they reduce in size.  I've lost 28lbs and have gone from a 38DD to a 32F.  In other words, while I've obviously lost from around the ribcage, my breasts, while smaller than they were (thank heaven), haven't reduced at the same proportion.  So try not to panic yet - see what happens as the weight continues to come off.
You are only 20 - hopefully you won't have that problem yet. You may just have to deal with being smaller than a 36 DD!

But, for many when we lose the weight we do wind up flat and saggy. The good news is that a doctor can fix you right back up! (you just need 5 or 6000) Breast lifts can look great! I have 3 friends that recently have had one.
Hi same here. My boobs got smaller from full B to small B....

but I love my new flat belly!!
Yep, I know how you all feel. I'm only 19 though. I was 180 when I was 15, went to 140 when I was 17, and now I'm 120. I lost the last 20 lbs too fast and now I have granny boobs. I went for a physical last night and my Dr asked me if I lost a lot of weight (as she was poking at my boobs to look for lumps. Yeah. I really really want Breast Implants soo bad... I have the money, but I really think I should wait till I'm a bit older, thinking about 5 years or so.... But dang do I really want them...
I lost 30 lbs and went from a D to a B.
