breast after weight loss
I'm loseing weight right now and i'm at a 36DD, I can tell I'm already losing some weight in my breast. I'm scared that they are either going to fall flat, or just sag at a c cup or something.
How have any of you women who are finished losing weight dealt with breast issues. I'm only 20 years old, i dont want to look like I've breastfeed 5 kids before I even get pregneat.

I think you're just going to have to wear a good bra. Short of gaining the weight back or getting a boob job, there just isn't much you can do. I rely on a good padded now that I am no longer a D cup, merely a small B. Just want to say I love the breast feeding analogy - I'd been saying the same thing about my flat boobs!
Hi guys!
I'm 17, 5"5, currently 120 lb. I am looking to lose only ten pounds... do you think this means my boobs will get smaller? They're already little Bs... I think of them as my little cupcakes and I like them! I don't want them to get weird and small/saggy. What do you think?

I went from a nice C to a low B..my boobs look like they did when I was in middle school. I lost 35 pounds btw
beacause you weigh so little and want to lose so little they shouldnt be effected really. Wiat, Why the heck do you want to lose weight? Your 17, and weigh 120! Thats Great!

I think that other people need to 'watch' their reactions to 'young' people who want to lose weight when they are in a 'normal' weight range. I know this is off subject but you dont know why she wants to lose weight...she might have gained 10 pounds and want to get back to a size she was...maybe those 10 pounds in a a place that is obvious...like not spread out.
I think that other people are too worried about what other people weigh and always trying to compare themselves to other people like 'that's not overweight...it must be peer preasure or something' I weight 185(finally 5 real pounds)and before I even started this people were like "well how much do you want to lose...you arent that big...your not even 'big'" it's like do we expect or want people wait till they are obese to start dieting all weigh gain starts with 10 pounds here or there....I wish I would have started this when I was 10 pounds away...instead of 40 pounds away.

hey, i've lost 40lbs so far, and gone from a 36D to a 34C. reading this thread just made me paranoid as to whether my boobs had gone saggy, so i went and checked in the mirror! ha. no, they're not saggy, no stretch marks either...but different people have different affected areas i think, and you cant really manipulate it much.
Losing or gaining weight too quickly can cause loose skin/stretch marks...so its about dieting sensibly, and toning with exercise i think =)

I guess I'm one of those weirdos whose breasts don't change. Yesterday, I went bra shopping, and I had to get fitted because my bras didn't fit any more. I thought 'oh, well, I've lost 40 pounds and I'm really muscular now; that's to be expected'. I was a 36C/34D last year and I wanted smaller boobs pretty badly. This year, I'm a 32D; occasionally a 32C. My band size is probably closer to a 30, but it's hard enough getting 32C or 32D bras, let alone 30D bras.
So really, mine haven't changed; I've just lost some fat from around my rib cage. The only thing is that since I've acquired more muscle in my upper body from swimming, push-ups, lifting, etc., it's harder to fit straps because they all gape under the collarbone. Apparently my boobs are 'a bit firmer than most people's' and therefore the whole Victorian pushed-up bosom look doesn't work nearly as well.
I guess it's because I'm young and have genes for a big chest (though, looking at my family, I have no idea where I get it from); also because I lost weight fairly gradually and have a lot of upper-body strength. Your mileage may vary.

well coming from a woman who HAS BREASTFED 5 KIDS, my breasts are not half bad if i say so myself. why? because i live in my bra!!
I was saggy to begin with and don't really notice much difference in regards to that. I did drop a cup size, though, and one reason I don't want to keep losing is that I'm already upset about going from a D to a C, and I'd do anything short of gaining the weight back to return at least to a D. (I always look a size smaller than I am due to my shape and lack of cleavage.) Luckily I didn't get the small-boob genes, so I still have something at my current weight, but it still bugs me and I'm kind of unhappy about it. I love being a size 4 - I HATE the 34C that comes with it.
... So what if I'm A cup..? maybe I'll become AA or.. just some mosquito bites =\ At least they are perky now?

Okay you posted this nearly a month ago but i really really hope u read this...I'm 5'5 and I was 218pounds at 15, and went down to 140pounds at 18..now I'm 23...and my weight has so far been somewhere between 128-138 (Depending on what time of the year it is...hehe)...ok...anyways...boobies!
Yes, ALWAYS wear a bra...wear one when u sleep, invest in some firm support underwire bras...beleieve me they help!!! I was a 38DD at my heaviest, I'm now a 34C...my boobs are only minimally saggy although they're not perky. my nipples still point upwards and they're still in the middle of my breasts...the only problem is, my breasts look 'flattened' on top because of the loss of volume, and yes i do have stretchmarks there...but no, they're not that saggy and i do not need a breast lift and that's what matters most! implants would fix the loss of volume for me, so I'd like to save up to get that....anyways there's still hope! just find the best bras out there, underwired, full cup, wear them EVERYTIME, 24 hours a day (unless you're in the shower ofcourse). I used to be paranoid about my breasts sagging from before, so my bras became my best friends since age 12 when I was an overweight kid with 36C breasts...lotsa ppl say they're uncomfortable, but i personally would feel uncomfortable without a bra...u just get so used to it after years of wearing it!
PS. I'd like to ask though...how much weight do u intend to lose and how much have u lost so far? Lots of luck!

Do chest flies and other chest exercises. Build the muscles underneath. It can increase cup size and make you healthier in the process. Also think positively...if this is not too esoteric LOL, there are methods of breast enlargment through hypnosis. Keep an open mind and don't worry so much.
Through hypnosis? Seriously?
Where can I find more info on that? Because I'd definitely try it. If I wasn't hoping to have children at some point in the future, I'd be saving up my money for implants, but I guess hypnosis wouldn't get in the way of breastfeeding later.

i am so glad that other women out there are having the same problem. For me it's not that have I a problem losing any weight it's keep a regular weight I go up and down all the time ... and my bras are forever changing. I 'm a 36 C and would like to stay in the same cup size but have a flatter stomach ... I thought about getting an alteration to my stomach not my breast but my boyfrined just likes me that way i am ... he's sweet but i'm not happy!
I worry about this too! Though I know I shouldn't, it's just appearances, but hard to help... My breasts have always been my best feature, though always a little on the saggy side naturally, and as I lose weight I find the loss of fat there is REALLY noticeable. it's like I'm losing the breasts in greater proportion that the rest of me.
I'm totally, completely against any kind of plastic surgery, but beyond that I'll do whatever it takes to perk them up. Right now, I'm thinking massive amounts of chest-muscle exercises combined with meditations visualizing great, full, perky breasts. I'll try to let people know how it works out for me...
so - anybody have any idea how *much* the exercising might be able to help? either with perkiness, size, or both?? any other suggestions on specific moves??
right now I would consider the sagginess to be in the category of "very" noticeable, making me hesitate to lose the last five pounds I had intended to, so I'll definitely be checking back on this thread to see other opinions.

I'll SO settle for reduced breast size just to be slender and fit agaon. I'll take my 34 breasts back, because I'll be so glad to get all my other "perks" back that come with smaller breasts again, lol.
I just wanted to say that I'm offended that someone would say that they don't want to look like someone who has "breastfed five kids."
What the heck? You don't want to look like the kind of woman who devotes herself to her children?
Let's please be more sensitive about the verbage.
And, yes, I've breastfed 6. And mine are fine, according to dh. LOL

I'm sure the individual who said that, did not mean that as a put down for those of you who are mothers. :) Motherhood is grand. There is no greater calling in this life as far as I am concerned. I'm all for motherhood, even if it means losing your youthful figure.
* Giggle * This coming from a woman now in her 40's who does not have children. ( At least not the two legged kind! )
