i'm guessing this topic has been discussed before, and i'm also guessing that there's nothing i can do about it, so this might just be venting... haha.
BUT, i've been doing cardio and weight lifting routinely and dieting for about 3 or 4 weeks now and it's going well. not any serious weight loss so far, but i can see some fat loss.... problem is, it's from my breasts.
i know, i know, it's obvious that as you lose weight/fat your breasts will probably also get smaller, but my breasts are already small (i sort of have what one might call an athletic build?) and i don't wannnnttt them to go awayyy. haha.
it seems ridiculous that after only a few weeks, the only thing i can really see shrinking is my breasts. and actually, i just realized i've noticed this before... in just my first semester of college i really gained some weight overeating, but enjoyed how my breasts were definitely larger. then second semester, i was in a totally different environment hiking every day, and i would look in the mirror and say WHOA, what happened to my boobs?
i guess i've evened back out, and now with this new routine my breasts are shrinking again, without much change elsewhere.
i am really pretty happy and comfortable with my body, and all i'd like is to loose this funny little pooch of belly fat. and, ok, thin out that thigh fat and just look more toned and leaner and meaner and fighting machineer. hah. um.
SOO the point of this is, if anyone has any good tricks for keeping breasts as they are, orrrrr losing the cliche stubborn belly fat, i'd love to hear it.
maybe some kind of zap gun just came out that i don't know about, that you just aim towards the stomach (or thighs or arms or...) melting the fat in that particular area... and can be purchased at the dollar store
I'm sorry about your breasts...mine shrunk too when I lost weight all over, but you know what my favorite 'pick me up'?
Victoria's secret :) (No pun intended). They've got sooo many awesome bras that really make you feel good about your boobs. I mean, they REALLY can squeeze some cleavage from them when you thought it wasn't possible! Go try that, it might make you feel better to know that you might be a smaller band size too :)
Good luck becoming a leaner, meaner, fighting machineer! That's what Im hoping for too!!
I've never had trouble finding bras from VS...at 38D, the choices were a bit more limited...I'm down to a 34D and will probably end up in a C cup after all's said and done which should give me quite a few more choices.
I highly recommend buying from the clearance section or the sale section since it's so much cheaper, also if you can afford to buy a bunch at once, they tend to have a coupon on the front cover of the catalog periodically.
smwhipple,
Maybe my shape was the reason that I couldn't find bras at VS (before I lost weight), but I tried 36Ds, 38Ds, 36DDs, and nothing fit right. Now I still have trouble finding bras that fit, but it's a bit easier. And I love the clearance rack! I found the one I'm wearing now there for only $12 (and out of the 10 bras I tried on, it was the only one that fit right).
With me I am not really worried about losing any of my breasts right now. Since I currently weigh 230 and I am a size 42DD I am kind of excited to see just what size I will be when I get to my goal weight of 140!
Hehe, safina1, yeah, I know what you mean. Throughout my adolescent years I've been between 45 and 49 kg (100 to 108 lb), and I'm 162 cm (5'4''), very small frame, but all my weight is at the bottom. Imagine what kind of breasts I had? Yep, 30AA/32A
I gained a LOT of weight during my freshman yeah and ended up at 143 lb (Jeez!I still can't believe it), and 34 B breasts. It took me 2 years to get to 107 lbs, an I was back to 32 A. After maintaining for 2 years I'm losing again, trying to get rid of that fat butt and thighs of mine, and my breasts are barely showing through t-shirts. I don't wear a bra (unless it's a transparent shirt), I think it's cheating. The only thing that helps is chest muscle strengthening (I do BodyPump and some weight lifting on my own). It kind of pushes whatever little I have forward, and thus improves the shape.
I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about it. Some women have large mammary glads and little fat in their breasts, some have large glands and lots of fat. I apparently have tiny glads and no fat. Gaining fat to pump up my breasts is not an option, I'd rather be a size 2 GAP jeans and 32AA than size 8 and 34B. It's just not proportional!
