My wedding is not until 9/27, but I definetely need to lose some weight.  I got my dress this weekend and 10-15 pounds would make it perfect!!

Want to do weekly weigh-ins??

Yes, I would! What day works for you? I would like to say not a weekend day... but at the same time if it were then I might eat more healthy on the weekends knowing that Friday, Saturday and Sunday are not totally FREE days.

Let me know. I am open to anything!!

Anyone else want to join? Do you have 10lbs to lose? You dont' have to be a bride- to- be to join!

My wedding is 9/6/08 and I have 5 lbs to lose. I have zero motivation though, it's really tough.

I would love to join all of you! I am 23 years old and have been married a little over a year now. My hubby and I have been trying to eat healthier and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Aug. 30th is a great goal date for me because we are going on a cruise in September! I have about 8 lbs. to lose (on a good day!).

i would LOVE to join! I have 15 pounds to my goal and a mini goal of 10 by aug. 30 would be great! i need some intense motivation as i have been slacking quite a bit this summer!

Count me in! I don't have a wedding  ( been married 12 years) but have a beach trip on Aug 30 and am working hard to realistically lose 10-15 pounds. My goal is to lose 20 pounds, but realize that is a little far fetched for my timeline. Background, I am 33,  5'7 currently 144 pds. I have a 10 month old that I am working to lose the last 5 pds from him and a 3 year which is where the other 15 pounds is from! Smile I have been working hard since 07/11 watching my calorie intake and running at least 2 miles a day. I have so far taken off 4 pounds, which probably mostly water weight but I will take it!

Count Me In! I have 10 lbs to lose, but have lacked the motivation to actually do something about it! :( I always say "I'll start tomorrow" but never end up actually doing it, so I think it would help me tons to have to weigh in and actually be accountable to get this weight loss started :)

oooh this is definitly what i need!

my boyfriend's coming back august 22nd and i want to lose 10-13 lbs until then and be superdupershape for our reunion!

my stats right now are: 5'6, 127lbs.

I too work at a computer all day but am able to walk around outside the building for a little exercise. Maybe you can do this or if you work in a multi floor building possibly run the stairs?

So I had a terrible past two days. I demolished a bag of Baked Doritos (just because they are baked don't make em good for you!) and two dinners of Chinese Food. Needless to say I was up a couple of lbs this morning, hoping it's mostly water weight. I honestly self-sabotage and now with the wedding coming I really just want to eat myself into oblivion. 2nd dress fitting is in 3 weeks ........

oh nycgirl-sorry to hear!

i also have my ups and downs.. especially if i overeat in the morning i find it really hard to limit myself for the rest of the day. i really need to get rid of this all or nothing mentality- sooo unhealthy!

Today started out as a good day (it always does!). Yogurt, GoLean, coffee. Then a big hearty but healthy salad for lunch, GoLean trailmix bar, more coffee. Then I got hungry and went grocery shopping. Bought Ruffles Light (this is after so many days of eating Baked Doritos that I needed to throw the bag out to make it stop) and I ate the bag. TG I had self control enough to buy the Light kind so it was only 450 cals of damage but more than anything it damaged my self-esteem as NOT BEING IN CONTROL of my diet and body. And I am still hungry (yes I had a normal dinner too ... and a bowl of high fiber cereal, a lowfat cheese stick, and a few slices of deli ham ... so shouldn't be hungry!).

Ugh, I wonder if there is some psychology going on here regarding my wedding and job and moving and all the other stresses and I am emotionally eating?! All I want are carbs. I long for carbs. Unrefined, bad for you, sugary carbs.

I need to get a grip! After all of last year's hard work why cannot I just last a few more weeks til the wedding?

Been doing well this past week. Down a lb or so to within 3-4 lbs of my goal weight. Feeling better, thinking I might actually be able to do this. It's all about keeping healthy food items within my reach and limiting my consumption of white rice (the devil's food in my opinion). My 2nd and most important dress fitting is one week from today.
