What did you do to bring in the New Year?

I'm just wondering what everyone did to bring in the New Year?

I decided to avoid the huge crowds that were going to be out downtown, and went to outback instead with my boyfriend, his best friend and his best friend's girlfriend. It was a cheat day :)

Afterwards we hung out and watched Superbad (so awesome) and I crashed a little after midnight. Guess that's what happens when you wake up at 6am every morning!

So what did you do?

I stayed in, read a book, and ducked outside to wave to the neighbors at midnight.  That's it.  All the TV shows bored me, so I got warm, cozy and comfortable.  I haven't gone out on New Year's Eve in years because I don't like being surrounded by drunken strangers.  I spent New Year's Day with my family and it was very nice.

And there was special celebrations in the city centre (becoming capital of culture, yay) so we walked in for midnight, which was great, and one of the guys had brought some grapes in, so we did the spanish tradition of eating one with every bell...that was, shall I say, interesting? Heheh

I went to a friend's wedding, which was pretty awesome. By far the nicest New Year's party I've been to - usually I'm just sitting around with some friends feeling lame.

I did that last year in Rota, Spain wearing my lucky red underwear.

Hung out with a few friends and played poker.

My family got together, my dad barbecued steak and we played card games. Couldn't do fireworks bc we have a burn ban, but some stupid people did and caused a couple fires!! Overall a very goo New Years!!

I was sitting in the living room by myself, watching Whose Line Is It Anyway? and other awesome shows, and I didn't even notice when it hit 12!!

Fireworks started going off and I was sitting there thinking, My goodness people IT ISN'T EVEN 12 YET!!!  Then I looked at the clock a minute later and it was 12:02...I was like, what a way to start =P

stayed off the streets and brought the party to me :) decided a few days before new years to have people over so about 15 or so friends showed up to help us bring in the new year.  we had a blast!  but, stayed up til around 7am UGH so slept in til 2...haven't done that in forever but it was fun!

i had a party with a couple of my friends and some older guys who my friend's brother (who's in college) knows...we played truth or dare jenga, shot nerf guns, and danced to techno all night..and then we drank some sparkling grape juice for the new year =] we didn't even notice when it was midnight, but it didn't matter! haha

Made love to the DH and listening to all the fireworks going off in the background from the neighborhood=)

My hubby and I spent a nice quiet romantic night together to ring in the New Year. It was great! :)

I worked, meh the drinking associated new years always makes it an interesting shift.

was lonely and didnt want to watch the stupid ball drop (ive watched it every other year and frankly, its stupid and anticlimatic) so i was laughing and watching John Tucker Must Die at midnight =]

I went bowling with my younger cousin and her friends and then we played singstar and ddr until like 1 in the morning. Id rather have gone to my boyfriends and slept over and got high on shrooooms though lol but my mom made me go see my cousin blah!

Peed on my fiance's face during sex, and was in the shower with him when 12:00 hit.  And I was sober.
