Any Broadway fans?

Hey everyone! I dont know about anyone else here but I'm a HUGE Broadway fan! I live in Florida but I have family in Jersey and try to get up there as much as possible..I also go see a lot of touring Broadway shows :) So far ON Broadway I've seen RENT twice, Wicked, Spamalot, Avenue Q, and Spring Awakening. As far as touring shows I've seen RENT three times, Spamalot, The Producers, I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change, and Wonderful Town. Yeah..I'm a dork. At home, I work at our local theatre doing mainly backstage stuff. I do props, lights, sound, and I even got to stage manage a show a month or so back :)

Anyway..just wondered if anyone else on here shared my love of theatre hehe

Broadway lover here! On Broadway I've only seen 42nd ST, Hairspray, and Light at the Piazza, but I've seen a bajillion traveling showed (yep, Rent and Phantom and all the classics). Sadly I haven't seen Wicked...I know it like the back of my hand though. I sing and act! And I've been in couple of shows. :)
you know i was in a vocal music class for my junior year in high school (it was for an easy A, i swear!).  A whole semester was dedicated to singing and performing Broadway musicals.  and let me tell ya, i hated every minute of it XD.  Sorry but Broadway just aint my thing. :P
Seen and performed in Les Mis (seen in LA, Perfomed at a school production) Phantom, RENT, Cats, Lion King, Joseph... I love but havent seen "Jesus Christ SuperStar" Total Musical freak!
Oh ans Miss Saigon....awesome!
hey! when did ya see rent? (im guessing you saw it at the nederlander?) whose was your mark/roger/mimi?
I use to work at 5th theatre in seattle for about 14 years and LOVE IT!!!  I have seen a lot of musicals.  Classics to brand new one before they are scheduled to go to Broadway.  You might remember Hairspray.  That musical started in Seattle before moving to Broadway and now a movie (which I haven't seen yet.)
oh the Hairspray movie is fantastic!!! john travolta steals the movie haha
If I don't get a chance to see it in the movie theater,  I will be buy the DVD no matter what.
I was on the verge of stage manager proffessionally (sorry about the spelling...).  I had to turn down my very first 4 figure salary due to burn out.  I couldn't believe I did that.  But you know.  I needed the break.  I love what I did very much.
I would LOVE to get more into stage managing. I hope to in the future!
So has anyone here heard of Spring Awakening? It was off-broadway for a while then moved to Broadway in December of last year...and its amazing. It was nominated for 11 Tony's I believe and won 8 of them..including best musical. The entire cast is 15-24 years old (not sure of exactly but they are all young) Ive loved it since I first heard the soundtrack in December, and finally got to see it last month. I was BLOWN away!
I like Broadway shows, and have seen a number of them, including Hairspray, Sweeney Todd, Cats, Les Mis, Rent, Phantom, Lion King, Torch Song Trilogy, Amadeus (am I dating myself now? :-D ), Carousel in preview (it immediately closed, thank goodness!), and so on... I went to school in NYC, and still go there occasionally (such as this Saturday, come to think of it!). I go up for opera, too, and would see more of them if I could afford to!
i've alway wanted to go to a broadway show but i havn't got to...

my favourite show that i see a video of is Into the woods with bernedette peters....its old but i love that musical

when our community theatre did it i got to play the witch....honestlyl....life changing....
Yeah you can find a LOT of good bootlegs on googlevideo, and a lot of good clips on youtube. If there's anything you guys want to see a clip of I can probably find it for you..just ask!!!

Hi everybody!  If you're a Broadway fan, check out this site . . . www.BroadwaySpace.com!  It's MySpace, but just for people who love Broadway!

I live in the city and get to go a lot.  I just saw Drowsy Chaperone, which was fun.  But I can't wait to see Little Mermaid in a few weeks!  And I'm an Off-Broadway fan too . . . often cheaper and more intimate.  Just saw Altar Boyz and Forbidden Broadway this past summer.

Talk soon!
