I just found out I broke my left foot.  I am currently on crutches not a boot.  Does anyone have any exercise suggestions my rear and thighs is where I tend to be the biggest?

If you're trying to lose weight any activity that gets your heart rate up will burn calories - so use your upper body to get your heart rate up - you could purchase a small bicycle pedal unit that you could sit on a table and pedal with your arms (they use those a lot in physical therapy) - you could work on punches - I think there are DVD's out there for those who are wheelchair bound to get your heartrate up - good luck!

I am still rehabbing a Achilles tendon injury from last March that also resulted in nerve damage in my foot (Just my luck to get a freak injury!)

My best advice is to adjust your calorie intake. At the time of my injury I was able to pretty much eat whatever I wanted since I worked out so much. Well, after the injury I continued eating whatever I wanted and here I am 30lbs heavier. Also if you go to physical therapy, they are good at finding ways to work around an injury.

Hope this is helpful!
