Can you just browse "A" rated foods?

Quote  |  Reply

Hi everyone.  I was just wondering if it is possible to only browse foods, in the Food Browser, that have an "A" rating?  I think it would help me to get a better idea of what kinds of foods I should be eating or not.  I appreciate any help!  Thanks.

Unless they changed it the answer is no. But you can sort the food by grade and look at the "A" grades that way. ignore anything below a "B".

Hope this helps

I don't know, but I would like to see that too!!

Thanks both of you for the responses.  One last question - How do you go about sorting the food by grade?    Thanks again.

Monster,

When you put a item in the food log it is on the upper right.

Calorie Count Results for: sandwich

Ordered by: Relevance | GradeSmile

  1. A   Bread, Whole-wheat, Commercially Prepared
  2. A-  Bread, White, Commercially Prepared - (Includes Soft Bread Crumbs)
  3. B+  Turkey Breast Meat
  4. B   Ham, Sliced, Regular - (Approximately 11% Fat)
  5. B-  (Subway Sandwiches) 6" Turkey Breast Sandwich - 6 Grams of Fat or Less

This is how I think about A rated food. It's a whole food, non processed that didn't come from a bag, can or was shrink wrapped. That means all vegetables, fruits, whole grains. Meat, fish, and diary in moderation. If you cooked it from scratch, and the ingredients came from the previously mentioned items then its A rated. So in other words if it's a frozen dinner, from a fast food restaurant, fried, covered in cheese, coated with sugar or butter it's junk and eat it in moderation or not at all. If the food doesn't rot when left out for a few days, bacteria doesn't even want it, so why should you?

It's a sad fact that one third of american calories come from junk food, and the top five most eaten foods include hamburgers and pizza.  Skip the soda too.

Awesome!  Thanks very much.
