Hi, my name is Taylor, and I am attempting ot lose 5 pounds. I am trying to stop my major binging habits! I was wondering if anyone wanted to be a buddy with me! I am 16 and weight 120 or so, maybe even 10 pounds to lose! Well anyway, please e-mail me if you need or want to be my buddy! I need the accountability!

However, a few words of advice. Do check this site http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html  You're 16 and 120lbs and if you're 5'2"  that's a pretty healthy weight.  'Bingeing' is a very emotive term....  Teenagers often need plenty to eat because their bodies quite simply use up a lot of energy.   And what you call a 'binge' might just be your body topping up .  If you're currently undereating in an effort to lose weight, you'll definitely need more food from time to time.... stands to reason.

Second word of caution.  Your body will still be growing and developing for the next 5 years.  You could very easily be going to grow in height between now and then and your body could be preparing for a growth spurt by taking in extra energy.  Take a look at your parents' heights... if they're a lot taller than you, that's where you'll most likely end up.  For that reason, and because you're not technically overweight 'dieting' is not a good idea. 

So instead of calorie-counting and standing on scales, make sure you're eating good foods, eating regularly and that you're getting daily exercise.  That way your body will have the nourishment to grow normally and you'll be in good health. 

I'd love to be your buddy!  I'm 17 and am 4'11.5" (so very short) and am currently about 108 and want to lose at least 10 pounds.  i have a mini bingeing habit as well.  so send me a message if you are interested!
