I was very reluctant about writing this post but.... here I go. After starting a weight loss program after another and stopping before reaching my goals, I have decided to do it the old fashion way (calories monitoring and exercizing). 

I would like to find a buddy to take that weight loss journey and make it to the finish line with me. I'm 26, I weight 184lbs for 5'7. My initial goal is to lose 30lbs... Let me know if you have similar goals!

Hi! I am also 26, weigh about 184, but I am 5'9. My goal is 30 lbs also!  I'll be your buddy! I am sick of fad diets, myself, and turned to CC for a lifestyle change.
Hello there! I'm somewhat similar I guess. I'm 30, 174# and 5'5. My initial goal is that 24#+ for getting under 150. CC is about the only thing that's ever worked for me and it's time to get working again!

Hi! Yet another one with similar goals. I'm 24, 5'7" and 185. Looking to lose 25lbs (I aimed a little low because I like "instant" (ha) gratification. :) ). Also trying CC & exercise, hopefully I'll stick with it this time.

 I haven't posted around the boards yet but saw your post and decided to reply. I've been using the food log and tools for about a week now and really need someone to relate with, but also to kick my virtual bootie occasionally...!

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm 32, 5'4" and weigh 185lbs. I'm in great shape and very active. I spent all of last year trying to drop these extra pounds, but had no success. People kept telling me that I needed to count my calories, because I more than likely was not eating enough. This not eating enough took a whole year to sink in, I just could not wrap my head around the idea. Anyway, that is what has brought me to this web site. My goal is to lose at least 40lbs, and could use all the support I can get.

Hey there,  I am 18,  I am a guy....5'8" around 173 hoping to become 148.  My biggest problem when it comes to losing weight is I love going out to eat rather than repeating everyday of my life.  Eating out makes it challenging to make sure that I am maintaining the necessary amount of calories that I need while not exceeding my goal.  I am trying to stay around 1800 per day with a limit of 2100.  The next hard part for me is that the types of excercise I am forced to do during winter is very boring to me.  I enjoy being able to go cycle around for a few hours and adventure a little.  I will be your bud if you want.  Good Luck.

Hi there, I think there are a lot of us with similar situations :-)  I am just about 32, 5'4 and 157 lbs - looking to get to 130 lbs for my wedding in July and have just started back on counting calories - I had done so before and was successful, but sadly didn't keep it up!  Oops :-)

 Looking forward to keeping track with you all and working towards our goals!
