Buddy, please!

I just recently started running again and I want to be in shape to do a 10K on my birthday on August 11 this year!

I've been yo-yo exercising recently. I do things for a week, then stop and then get back to them a few weeks later. It's terrible. I'm pretty good with healthy eating but I do need to work on a bit of portion control. However, weight is not really a problem for me. I need to lose a few inches but my main goal is the 10K. I need someone who can keep me on my toes and someone who won't disappear halfway through the summer ;) And I promise to do the same for you!

So who wants to do this with me and be my running buddy? (running 3 times/week with a weekly check-in and motivation!)

I'm 5'3.5", 17 years, 135 pounds.

I'll be your buddy!  I started running seriously in January (have on and off for the last several years, but never this seriously). My plan was to do the Vancouver Sun Run, 10k, that happened yesterday.  I wasn't able to do the run due to work, but I am fit enough!  I want to stay fit and motivated, a buddy would be awesome.  I do run more than 3 days a week though, it is very addicting!  Your goal sounds very achievable, and you'll get a tan training through the summer!

 

EDIT-I just looked again and realized this was posted in the young calorie counter section, I guess I don't count lol!  I am 24.

Hi :) We're pretty similar!

I'm 15, 5'4 and about 135.

I also have problems with portion control (I eat everything on my plate plus more even when I'm not hungry >.<) but am not a runner like you. I swim :) I have a hard time staying motivated too. I can only go to practice a couple times a week due to other activities, but often times I try to come up with excuses to get out of it even though I end up feeling great after a good workout.

I may disappear for about 2 weeks this summer due to a trip, but other than that, I'm here :) If you think we're similar enough, let me know if you want to be buddies!

ME! I started running in January and then stopped towards the middle of March but I started again on April..I can't remember..Oh it was Saturday soo.. April 11th. I'm not doing any run but I really want to get in shape! I would run 4x a week for about 20-25 minutes and slowly working my way up. I'm 15 (16 on August 10th!) 5'8 and 168. I agree about the portion control =X I'm bad at that tooo! Motivation is something I lack...lol But I am good at motivating people! Let me Know!
