A building thought that needs to be shared....
I find this entire process amazing, tough, and yet a task worth fighting for. My goal is to lose 36 lbs and I only have 8 lbs to go. I would have never imagined in a million years to be where I am in this journey, and yet I can't remember being where I was. Going from a 14-16 to a definite 8/ on the verge of a 6... really?! SHOCKING! I feel great and the compliments are so uplifting. Yet, I still feel that a battle is to be waged - the desire to stay this way and not go back. I do not refer to my situation as a diet any longer, but a lifestyle change. I will continue to count my calories and push forward with my new hobby of running - I was told I can now consider my self an athlete again... AMAZING feeling! I was a soccer player for 14 years and ran 5 miles a day, at some point I forgot how important that was to me and let myself go. My self esteem is shining, and yet I still have to adjust to the new style of fitted clothing and regular sizes. I use to laugh at the idea that eating right, drinking water, and exercise could get me back to a healthy weight and a healthy self... NOW, I have a huge respect for anyone who partakes in this lifestyle. We are amazing for what we are doing, and deserve plenty of high fives from ourselves and those around us. I most definitely have a positive vibe to send to those who are in the beginning of their journey to reach the goals they have set. You can do it and we can do it - together! In a pledge to myself, I will refuse being a statistic in the US obesity chart. Thanks again CC family... for the forums, recipes, advice and all that we provide to each other!!!
Congrats on all your achievements, and thanks for the positive message this morning!
high five indeed!
