I have so much bulky muscle on me right now. Does anyone know how to make my bulky muscles leaner? I've tried pilates tapes, but I just don't like it. It's boring, takes a really long time and often hurts my back and neck. Any tips? Plus, I have reactice airway disease, so it's difficult for me to do really intense workouts without wheezing or using an inhaler. Thanks!

Low weight, Hi repetition exercises will tone the muscle and burn fat. Doing pilates classes, or kick boxing classes is great, but I understand that these classes can get pretty intense. I too am not a exercise class participant. But working on exercises that are considered "different" seem to give the best results in toning. Doing exercises that involve multiple muscle groups at once work really well. T-push ups, assisted pull-ups, and the Roman chair leg lift are my favorites when toning down. I am trying to bulk up myself, so I incorporate the opposite, more weight and less reps. But don't forget your cardio. Swimming is great cardio, and a full body work out without and such bulk.
Thanks so much for the help!
try brisk walking
STRETCH! Seriously -- I was getting pretty bulky abs, like, they stuck
out farther than my ribcage and looked almost swollen or something. My
pilates instructor asked how often I was stretching outside of class --
like, full body, real stretching -- and I was like '...oh.' So now I
stretch like 4 times a day, and I've noticed a difference, even though
it's only been a week! So, STRETCH! =)

dropping in on a yoga class once a week. a girl friend of mine weight trains a crap load, and she does yoga once a week. shes developed really nice, lean muscles.
Yep, stretching works miracles, It worked for me.
Yoga also very good for getting lean.
