So... How does everyone make their burgers?!?!

*I love putting sun-dried tomatoes in mine or olive tapenade & of course spices! YUM!

I stir in Trader Joe's BBQ sauce and top them with steam-fried spinach and mushrooms.  Then eat it open face on a slice of 7 grain toast.

I use lean ground turkey or extra-lean ground beef, a spoon of BBQ sauce, lots of pepper and spices, chopped canned jalepeno peppers, softenened bulgur wheat, and a mess of sauteed, finely chopped mushrooms and onions (about the same amount as the meat). Grill and serve on a whole wheat bun with the usual fixins...yummo!

Grilled is the only way I like them.  I use half ground turkey breast and half extra lean (97% lean) organic beef (because it tastes beefier).  I season very simply with salt and pepper mixed in, grill them just well done and I'm careful not to overcook them.  I serve them on whole wheat artisan bread rolls, not those squishy hamburger rolls.  I don't make very large or thick patties because they are hard to bite into when you have a crusty roll.  I make 5 patties per pound, so mine really are a little smaller than usual, but they are big on flavor.

On mine I like a very thin slice of vidalia onion, a slice of tomato, and some salsa.

I add in salt, pepper, italian seasonings, and a little worcestershire sauce... and sometimes chopped green onions. I like to top them with a slice of light Velveeta and the usual lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup & mustard... yum Tongue out

I made turkey burgers yesterday. 99 per cent lean, so I had to add a lot for flavoring and cook under a lid.

Kikkoman Lower Sodium Teriyaki Sauce, chopped fine red bell pepper, cumin, dash of chili powder, and ginger. Then I roasted another red bell pepper in the oven with a shallot, coating it with non stick cooking spray olive oil flavored, salt and pepper, a little ginger, and a dash of thyme.

Put it all on a whole grain bread with some fresh sliced jalapenos (seeds removed for texture's sake, membranes left in) tomato slices and red leaf lettuce. I top mine with a little Worcestershire sauce and eat with a fork and knife. No cheese for me, but I did find cheddar flavored "veggie slices" that I'll be trying VERY soon.

I love the Morningstar veggie burgers - and I am not a vegetarian either! I eat them on the tiny wheat rolls by Martins with tomato, avocado, and sweet pepper relish. Yum - that's what we're having tonight.

Incidentally, I could never/rarely get my kids to eat the burger - just the roll. But when I tried the veggie burgers, they loved them!

Sometimes I grill, but when I'm in a pinch, I microwave them.

I forgot to mention my kids are 2 & 4 years old.

I love 'em too - and the spicy black bean burgers are wonderful.  I like to make either one of these, put it on a whole wheat bun, then add A1 steak sauce, goat cheese, and some lettuce.  If I have some, I'll also add some roasted red pepper hummus.  Yummy!

Spicy black bean burgers!  We had these last night.  Yum.

My great burger for under 200 cals is to use the original Boca burger (70 cals) (which has less sodium than the other kinds), a light multi grain english muffin (100), a little ketchup, and all the lettuce and tomatoes I want!  Soooo good!

Im weird, but I really like mushrooms in my turkey burgers - I use lean ground turkey, a bit of salsa to hold everything together, onions, and mushrooms as a filler. Occasionally will throw in some bread crumbs but I don't usualy find they add much value. I grill them on top of foil first, then on the grill just long enough to get the nice char marks.

I tried making burgers with kidney beans but they were just plain weird.

Pure beef. With cheese/red onion/lettuce/tomatoe/Ketchup/Mustard/Relish. Good ol' fashioned burg!

Of course I'll have this maybe (maaayyyyybeee) once a month! lol

I like turkey burgers a lot, but my all-time favorites are salmon burgers! I bake a fillet of salmon, chill it, flake it slightly with a fork and then "food process" it for a few pulses. I add in breadcrumbs and an egg white for binding and then toss in some diced onions, garlic powder, chipolte chili powder, Mrs. Dash for grilling seasoning, paprika, a teaspoon of soy sauce, and a drop of liquid smoke. Then I just cook it in a nonstick skillet and enjoy!

I had the most amazing salmon sandwich in Vancouver a few years ago.  In front of the museum at the University, there was a push cart with a grill.  They were grilling wild salmon fillets and also making fresh squares of fry bread.  The fry bread wasn't a bit greasy (not what I expected at all) I think it had less fat than regular bread and it left no grease stain on the paper napkin.  Because everything was so fresh and hot, it was wonderful!  I didn't put anything at all on mine, just ate it straight up.
