After Burn?

Quote  |  Reply

Hi guys,

So after readying the book and reading all the discussions on here, I am curious if NROLFW is the right program for me right now.  I would like to lose at least 19 lbs, although I believe that I could possibly WANT to lose 14 more than that (33 total).  I don't know becuase I"ve never been slimmer than about 20lbs than now lol.  I pesonally seem to need to cut calories pretty significantly to lose weight (or I guess mean have a pretty high calorie deficit) so the whole 300 calorie thing I don't think will work for me.  I need to lose lots of FAT before I continue on and maintain/build muscle.  What I read in the book doesn't coincide with what I have read from other's that I respect highly (ie Tony Veunto)...so I'm curious if anyone has read or done After Burn prior to doing or instead of doing NROLFW.  If so what was your experience?

im planning on doing afteburn after i finish nrol4w. there are many people who actually lowered their calories beyond 300.

it depends if your body can handle it as some of the workouts are a bit taxing on the body. the only thing with making fatloss a single priority is that you may lose muscle, making it harder (tho not impossible) to build it later on. you also run the risk of just being a smaller version of your body instead of a better shape.

but afterburn is a good workout program too from what i've read from it. im not sure if the authors would like this suggestion, but how about doing stage 1 just to get a good base of strength and then do afterburn, and then come back and do stage 1-7?

I've been thinking about doing Afterburn when i finish NROLFW in about a month (I'm on the third workout A, stage 6), and I just posted the same question in the fitness forums.

I only know what I've read at Cosgrove's site and a little at t-nation, which Cosgrove is affiliated with.  It's expensive, so I'd really like to know a little more, too, before beginning.

Octo-luv, when are you thinking of starting Afterburn?
